Default Joeled ZMA or New P220

Hi Freinds,

Whatever the topic is, it is not going going to materialize before Feb 2012. But still this issue is eating up my head.

I got myself a pre-owned 2004 ZMA around 6 months back. Although I like the bike's performance while rifding it but then the outdated model and lack of latest tech does bug me. I am still carrying out restoration as per my budget and would get it joeled if I decide to keep this bike for long(3-4 yrs).

On the other hand, I love P220's looks & power. Would go for it if I go in for a new bike. But I am not able to decide whether to invest 90k for a new P220 or around 40k for my zma(Joel's kit, new body panels etc).

Please help!!!!!!

My suggestion is to get new bike than investing in old bike and that too 40k which is substantially huge amount.

If invested in P220, you'll get latest technology, power and offcourse some peace of mind.

If invested in old bike, your joy will be short lived and would again start contemplating on buying new bike.

If your decision is going to wait Feb 2012, chances are that by that time you might find some new bikes in offer.

I would also suggest you invest your money on new bike rather than going for a restoration of a pretty old bike.Atleast you will have a peace of mind owing a new bike

definately u should go for a new bike!
as ur zma is already 7 years old it might start getting issues and u'll have to change many of its parts.
with a new bike u'll get complete peace of mind (atleast for a few years )
and after maybe a couple of years u can get ur new bike joel'ed too

Well if a Joeled Karizma really gives more mileage than stock, then definitely keeping in view the petrol prices you can get your existing bike Joeled.
If an old bike had had such issues you would have never bought it Now that you have bought it, get it Joeled and enjoy!
Straight, simple and I think the cheapest solution(for a long period).

Regarding the parts, your engine, exhaust system will be completely new if you are going to Joel so no need to worry about having any issue with that atleast. And other parts are to be changed after a certaing interval(brake pads, air filters etc), be it new or used bike..

Being a hardcore P220 and since I own a ZMA I'd say that its better you go for a 3rd option.

But between P220 and ZMA.... I'd go for ZMA anyday i.e if it was a long term investment...
Else if I had a lot of cash and wont mind switching bikes frequently then P220 it is.
