Hi! I am AMIT from mumbai,I am looking for a bike between the range of 1-1.25 lacs, earlier i had a hero honda splendor which got stolen in feb so looking for a replacement.
I have read many posts regarding all different bikes, like the CBZ,R15,KARIZMA ZMR and various other bikes but my heart always beats for the ROYAL ENFIELD.Now i am in the dilemma of whether to buy the CLASSIC 350 or no ,the reason behind this is that as everybody says that enfield bikes are rust buckets and very high maintenance. So i would like to know what are the basic problems in this bike and I would also like suggestions from members of xbhp to either go with my heart and buy this bike or should i look for some other option, please guide me through this dilemma, looking forward for your valuable suggestion.Thanking you all in advance

I would recommend you to test ride the CBZ or Yamaha FZ, Honda Dazzler and choose one that best fits you. |

New Royal Enfield are low on maintenance(compare to old bullets).
Service after 3000km and oil change after 6000km. Most important thing : Listen to your heart. I bought Karizma in 2006, it was very good bike but i always wanted bullet. Finally bought this year now I am happy man. If you don't go with your decision thin it will pinch you in some corner of heart every time you will see a bullet. |

First of all let me thank Noor For approving my thread.
Thanks PRAJNYAN & AMARDEEP for your comments,i have test driven the new cbz xtreme and i did like the bike,i have not tried the fz as for me it feels too small coz i am a big built guy and some how i feel that it will look small under me (no offence to all fz owners),and regarding the dazzlers i have heard some very negative stories about it so i am not considering it all. One more thing i would like to add over here that whenever i tell any one that i want to buy a bike they tell me that "tu to enfield k alawa kuch sochna hi mat"and even i like teh ROYAL ENFIELD very much and as amardeep has mentioned new ENFIELD are less maintenance. My main purpose of starting this thread is that people who use enfield can guide me k why should i go for it,and also those who dont have enfields and always wanted one can also guide me and advise me to what to do.

you are welcome brother.
Once you are bitten by bullet Bug then there is no way out. Even fuel efficiency in new bullets is around 35-40 . Bullets are very simple machines and all they need is care and some time to understand the machine. |

Hi,
if you can wait out a lil bit longer for the new launches then Duke(Bajaj) KTM 200 (KTM Duke 200: Review out on xBhp very soon!!!!) will be available as an option soon. I am not exactly a bullet fan but yes on highways and cruising she is on a different league all together. However, my preference would be any other Jap bikes available in your budget considering if you do mix of city and highways coz yes unfortunately city ride is not a familiar territory for Bullet. She is built of highway rides. but end of the day it is simply your call go by head or go by heart!! ![]() Cheers Last edited by shv18; 12-05-2011 at 12:15 PM. |
