Default New Bike Advice

Hi to everyone out there...

I need advise from you guys in buying a bike. I'm 5'6, 65 Kg's. I don't have any bikes before neither do my dad. I had no thought of buying bikes mainly because of my family situation while i'm in college. Now, I have been in job for 2 years and planning to get a bike for myself. Mostly i'll be using the bike on weekends. I need a bike with decent mileage and looks. I have made searches online and and asked my friends. Some suggest Unicorn or Unicorn Dazzler - Most of my friends suggest this bike because of good mileage, good smooth engine, low maintenance etc.., Some of my friends are asking me to wait for some time, so that we can have the reviews of Hero Ignitor (stunner look alike) from Hero. My budget will be in the range of 50k to 75k. Need your suggestion guys.

Just saw that CBR150R, Pulsar 200 NS are going to be released in India. What will be the approximate price and mileage of it?
If that will suit my height and will provide a decent mileage somewhere near 50, I can afford some more money and buy it.

dude both the p200NS and cbr150r will cost upwards of 1 lakh....

in your budget i can recommend you the following bikes...

1. yamaha SZR. same engine as fz but tuned for mileage presently giving a mileage above 50kmpl. yamaha's refinement. exshowroom around 52k

2. honda unicorn, dazzler, pulsar 150, apache160..... all the bike made for performance and gives good mileage. exshowroom around 60-65k

3. yamaha fz, apach180, pulsar 180... all the bike made for performance but not good for milleage.... although the looks of fz gives you much more than you need... plus the handling, build quality and refinement are simply amazing for fz. exshowroom around 70-75k
slight difference in character in all of them, nothing more...

other bikes in the same segment are:

hero impulse but that is a niche bike you will either like it or hate it.

hero ignitor/honda stunner i dont know much about it but a friend of mine sold one after using it for 1 year and bought a pulsar... says one of the worst bikes ever made by honda... all show and no go.... not my opinion.

with your height you can go for any of the bikes mentioned above and you wont have any kind of problem...

If you get too confused, go get the Pulsar150. Atleast 90% of people would assume you've made a good choice and got a "Sports" bike...

rtr 160 hyper-edge is far better choice.

I guess A160 HE would be a better choice than Pulsar. Pulsar is very common nowadays.

You can also try A180. On road price in Delhi is around 78K(not sure whats the price in your city), if riden sanely can give an average of 40 - 45 km/ltr, you can enjoy adrenaline rush when you want to.

You can try P135 as well, different looks, power of a 150cc and milaege of 125cc(as BAL claims )
