Look all over

Develop an eye-scan pattern while you ride. Left far to right far to right close to left close with a once in two scans glance at the RVM’s and the instrument panel. For a focused rider, scanning is a patter-break detection system.

    Smile Total Confusion : 200NS or CBR400r or 220F

Hi.. i currently own a 220fi which has been giving me headaches recently with unrelaibility. Planning to change.

I have liberty of buying new bike and am unable to choose which.

200NS: an amazing bike. Doesnt feel its from bajaj at all. Being carb, I am much inclined towards it.

220F: Old tech. great tourer and good topend.

CBR400R: Have got a few deals for these bikes. but they are old, atleast a decade old they are. Papers are incomplete. Feels great but I am worried for spares. Also I dont know the price range I should buy them for.

I am planning for a loan. will I get loan for the old CBR400s?
Please help me choose on what to buy?

I can wait for 1 month max. for new launches. would that help as I heard prices of the NS was raised.
    Ride safe!

The CBR400s ought to be disqualified right away. Buying an import without papers makes no sense these days. Between the other two bikes, it comes down to your prioirities.

Don't make sense going for P220F as you already owned a P220Fi, NS is an ugrade but not a major difference in feel. Still....

Till here i feel 200NS is right choice or go for CBR when you can opt for CBR400r

CBR400r 10yrs old will be approx 2L not less than that! you can get the parts through online shipments but they are costly! why to be in those tension days after buying??

Go with CBR 250r and enjoy!!

You can't get a bike loan on second hand at least, or it has to be with in 5yrs ol
200NS is VFM, but when you target CBR400r then why not a N250r or CBR250 ??

If I were you there's no confusion at all!!!

I would rule out CBR 400R as its not available; that leaves 220F & 200Ns

I would rule out 220F because there's better & updated product available from the same manufacturer

Ultimately the choice is 200NS. Confusion resolved. PERIOD!!!

PS - If you define the purpose, may be we can sort out something even better

Stay away from an import which doesn't have its papers in place. Period.

As you have already owned the P220 DTS-Fi, no point going for virtually the same bike once again. The things that go for this bike is the awesome projector set up and slightly more torque at low revs.

Exactly, the 200NS feels poles apart from every other Pulsar. Even if there won't be a significant difference in the top end between the P220F and P200NS, the overall riding experience of the 200NS is so much more satisfying.

And its just about 5 grand more than the P220F..!!

    My Pick: P200NS hands down

P.S: I too had my P220 DTS-Fi for 4 years and have decided to get the P200NS as my next bike.

Believe me.. when Payeng says this.. I for one can vouch for him that he's saying this all earnesty. He's sailing in the same boat as you Somen, so his suggestion is seriously to look forward to.

My suggestion is the same : Stay away from gray imports and P200NS that you would love to have

I was little skeptical that if a person is ready to buy a CBR400r 10yrs old , which would come in range of 1.5-2.5L, additonally sparts issue, so why not a CBR 250?? NS200 would be very similar to P220Fi, so anyways it's out of league!!

New bike with all facilities available!!

utsavchs - I'm going to be very blunt with choices, so as to find out IF we can find something more suitable (not better, only suitable) & closer to your needs. Keeping P200NS aside for now, let's explore other possibilities & if you knock of every others in the list, goahead with P220NS, that's made for you

Touring...basic good to have features are...
    - Long range (ZMA/ZMR, Pulsar 180/220, Duke 200)
    - Comfort (ZMA/ZMR, C5, Duke 200)

Ok...so it will be more of highway motorcycle & occasional ride for commuting. Then the choices are even simple - New CBR 250R, New or Used Ninja 250R

Not suggesting GT250R because its pretty new in the market; Ninja 650R needs to be refueled every 200 Km & let's not get there now.

Not sure if he loves forward leaning posture; I've suggested a few above incl of CBR 250R, let's see how it goes.
