No entity is as strong alone as it can be if it has some partners. When the idea of the #xBhpDominarGreatAsianOdyssey was conceived, it came along with the realization that a roadtrip of this magnitude cannot be taken up and seen through just by us alone. But it had to be done and so, we’d like to thank all our partners for coming on board for this mega project of xBhp.

What is the most important thing in a motorcycle roadtrip? A motorcycle. And no, it is not a joke either. A good and reliable motorcycle is very important on a roadtrip this long and arduous. We’d like to thank Bajaj Auto for taking care of that part. They provided us with 3 Bajaj Dominar 400 motorcycles. The Dominar 400 is one of the best among the motorcycles that have graced the Indian market and the pride of it being homegrown, cannot be explained in words. 15,000 kms, 11 countries and over 90 days of riding… no ordinary task but then, the Dominar 400 is no ordinary motorcycle either. 40 Ps of power, 35 Nm of torque, a remarkably smooth engine and the phenomenal handling characteristics for a bike of its class, the Dominar 400 is out there to conquer regardless of the task at hand. And the fact that Bajaj is practically ‘everywhere’ also helps and makes sure that we #DontHoldBack.

A trip of that magnitude in varying terrains, climates, and even riders, it isn’t hard to guess that the engines of our motorcycles are not gonna have it particularly… easy. But we cannot let that come into our way and helping us in that regard is Castrol POWER1 RACING engine oil. The importance of engine oil in a motorcycle is as undebatable as the prowess of Castrol POWER1 RACING. Whether it is a 280 bhp H2 or a 39.5 bhp Dominar 400, whether it is a few 100 km or a whopping 15,000 km, the Castrol POWER1 RACING is ready to take on whatever you dare to throw its way. We are thankful to Castrol for providing this ride of ours with #UltimateAcceleration.

Tyres are another major factor when it comes to a motorcycle and therefore, a motorcycle roadtrip. We would like to thank MRF Tyres for taking care of this very crucial part of our Dominar 400s. The MRF REVZ FC1 at the front and REVZ C1 at the rear have proven themselves to be worthy of being the OEM tyres. After all, something needs to properly put down the torque on the tarmac. With the REVZ, we are sure that we’ll have a firm grip on both the road and our goal as we #RideAlongWithMRF.

At xBhp, we believe that the rider is just as important as the ride if not more. And therefore, rider protection is paramount as well. And so when it came to choosing the helmets for the riders who will be a part of this ride, we chose Axor Helmets. A helmet is the crown of a biker and Axor makes darn good ones. A safe and steady helmet to make you look good, keep your head cool… and safe, of course. Coming to the riding gear, we chose Rynox Gears. Comfortable, good looking, full of useful quirks and most importantly, safe. One cannot go wrong with these two even if the ride measures 15,000 kms spread across 11 countries and more than 90 days.

Since we’ll be out on the road for more than 90 days, we needed gadgets that are powerful and portable. Lenovo ThinkPad P1 is our choice of computer. An impossibly lightweight and extremely powerful laptop. With Intel Core i7 processor and Nvidia Quadro graphics, this little one packs a mean, mean punch. And in order to click and edit photos on the go, we needed a cellphone which sports a good camera and a powerful chipset which equals… OnePlus 6T. Brilliant screen, stellar camera and processing power of a regular desktop computer, if there’s a future where phones replace conventional devices, OnePlus will be right on top of it.

Carrying your own little world when out on a roadtrip like this is a tall Bajaj Dominar 400 and even more so on motorcycles. Zana helped us kit our motorcycles up and as you can see, we have a lot of space for a lot of luggage, all of which will be tucked away safely. For some On The Go storage, we have Carbonado GT backpacks which are as functional as they are good looking. The tough back serves as a canvas for some cool visual mode which was, needless to say, utilized properly by us.

Last but not least, we would like to thank Throttle Shrottle for being our hospitality partners. The open ambience and rustic appeal of the place, the Throttle Shrottle Moto Cafe on the Gurgaon-Faridabad Expressway has served as a venue of choice for a multitude of our events and it will do so once more for our flag-off from Delhi.
