BikesLife is not about passing your days ordinarily. Life is about living on the edge. Life is about finding the end of your comfort zone. It is about waking up, taking your bike out, and going out for a ride. These are the words of Shiv Raj Singh. And these aren’t merely words either. It is a creed that he lives by.

Shiv Raj Singh belongs to Rajasthan. He was born in Jaipur and raised mostly in North and Northeast India. His father was an army man and so, a whole lot of his discipline and character comes from being bred in the army and the defence forces background.

He is 55-years-old and runs a travel company since 1989. They specialize in motorcycling tours pan-India, wildlife and wildlife photography, and mountaineering. These are all the things Shiv Raj Singh personally does and is deeply passionate about. They also organize professional tours for people coming in from around the world and looking to explore India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka.

Shiv Raj Singh has known xBhp since 2007 and has ridden with us as well. He was a part of the Free Riders Motorcycle Club and now runs his own club that goes by the name of Spitfire 515. One of his most memorable rides was in 2007 when he rode all the way to Goa from Delhi.
An adventurous life like his comes with inherent risks and he has had a lot of close shaves and encounters. One of the scariest though was when he was doing the Chadar Trek in 2014. His foot slipped and he fell some 20-25 feet.

He recalls that the first thing he thought about was the raging river just below him. But the sherpas quickly threw a rope to him and he was able to climb back. Despite that, he went on to complete the trek safely!
Another incident that he could recall was while he and his team were trailing the tigress Arrowhead. She was in the bushes, stalking a herd of deers. But she suddenly turned around and charged towards their jeep angrily.

Shiv Raj remembers that it was so close that if she had jumped in the jeep, she would have surely picked someone up and taken them away. But regardless of these encounters, Shiv Raj believes that this is the way to live.
According to him, motorcycling means different things to different people. Motorcycling gave him direction. For him, it is meditation and a source of motivation and inspiration to keep moving forward.

He is more than happy with his work but motorcycling helps him remain a lot more focused. The message he has for fellow riders is that they must always ensure their own safety along with that of other riders and people on the road.
