  • Online Driving Test (in English & Marathi). Try it, and educate yourself on the rules

Do you think you are a good driver ?
Are you fit to drive on Indian roads ?
Do you know all the rules ?

Here's a test to find out the answers to these questions:

    LLRtest | Facebook
    (Open in Internet Exporer)

Trust me when I say that you'll be really surprised by the results.

The test is based on The Central Motor Vehicles Rules, hence applicable for the whole of India. The test is available in English and Marathi.

    Overview of the Test:

It is basically the test you should be giving before applying for a learners license. But I would advice everyone to try it.
Every time you take the test, you are asked 10 multiple choice questions. These questions are randomly selected from a vast pool of questions, thus the repeatability factor of the test is high.
The questions cover a wide range of topics, from road signs to road etiquette.
The time limit is 4 minutes.
At the end of the test, you are given a printable report card and you can review all the questions to know the correct answers.

I recommend devoting 4 minutes daily for this test and thus increase your knowledge about the rules. This will definitely go a long way in making you a SAFE driver.

Spread the Awareness about this test. Just head to LLRtest | Facebook and LIKE it

Meh, not really surprised (100%, and I'm not even Indian). Yes, the questions are from a random pool, and therefore some of the questions are probably "better" than others at gauging knowledge of proper driving skills. Mine were largely trivial, with only one question really useful to on-the-road driving (when turning left, one should be as far to the left as possible before turning).

I'd have liked it better as a gauge of actual driving knowledge, if the test had fewer questions about obscure road signs and more about basics like lane markings, common traffic signs like Stop, Yield, and so on, overtaking, intersections etc.

Indian roads have very few roadsigns anyway more important is handling hydroplaning, braking, steering, etc

Bro, have you ever tried to look for sign boards in India. Next time you drive you will see they are everywhere but you never noticed it. Yellow arrow boards, speed bump boards, turn boards you name it.

Maybe, but most Indian road signs are far too small, are poorly placed (too far off the shoulder/too close or too far from the feature they represent/obstructed by vegetation or billboards), and sometimes contradictory. Ditto for traffic lights.
