    TVS Jupiter Review

Sufficient Space for a 5'11" rider with long legs and size 11 boots to fit on the floorboard. The TVS Jupiter has elegant yet simple lines and a very comfortable seat.

The matt black alloys on the Jupiter look goodThe Jupiter ready to go

The Eco Light tells you that you are saving fuel with that particular riding style

The Switch quality is good and easy to use. The Pass Light Switch is a boon in city traffic for overtaking. Though it does take time to get used to as it is operated by the thumb and not the forefinger as we are used to on motorcycles.

The Luggage Hook is foldable and does not get in the way of the riders legs.

The Luggage Hook under the dash can also be folded away

The CVTi engine which the Jupiter sports is butter smooth and a pleasure to throttle

The Ignition Key Hole looks tacky and does not gel with the quality of the rest of the ScootThe Tubeless Tyres on the Jupiter coupled with the 12" wheels are a boon for the commuter in a hurry!

Half face helmet fits in the boot without a problem

Full Face helmet does not fit in the boot

The 17 litre boot which will be used a lot by most owners

The TVS Jupiter is an extremely user friendly bike, giving a lot of features which are useful in day to day running. The Scoot comes with the reliability of the TVS badge and support network, it also adds in a few modern bits which motorcycle riders are used to. The ease of automatic scooters in traffic is the reason why one sees a spurt of them being ridden by middle aged men, unlike earlier where it was considered a lady centric product. TVS has surely got a winner on their hands, but as always the final verdict will be given by the consumer in the form of his hard earned money. I do feel that the TVS Jupiter will not just be taking sales off other scooters, but also attracting a lot of prospective commuter motorcycle buyers with a very attractive alternative.

The LED Tail Lamp and Rear end Fuel Filling spot eliminates the need for opening the seat.

The long seat which easily accomodates two 'large' adults!

Photos: Sunil Gupta Pulsars are celestial bodies; literally, rotating neutron stars that emit a periodic, strong and tight beam of light much akin to the sweep of a lighthouse beacon. Our home-grown Pulsar series of motorcycles from Bajaj have also been beacons, marking the beginning of an era of motorcycles in India that stands unparalleled by any other two-wheeler manufacturer. The Pulsars brought performance, street-fighter looks and the con...
