Finally i have decided to take a plunge and get a bike fr me. Earlier my budget was 15k but due to some financial crunch i have decided to stick with the rockrider 5.0. Kindly suggest if it will suit me and my needs.
I am presently working in hyderabad and i have been to the stores but they only stock Firefox cycles so i could not test ride RR. I will leave my job and shift permanently to delhi in july so i have to buy a bike between 8th july - 12/13th july. So any pointers to the places in gurgaon( my homeplace ) and delhi where i can test ride this will be really helpful.
Some info about me and my usage : I measure 6 ft and 107 kgs.
ops: So my main aim would be to cycle daily for around 45 - 60 mins so become fit and loose extra kilos apart from reliving the childhood memories. I would be basically riding near by my home and college at delhi ( DTU Rithala ). Also i wont be able to upgrade for next 2 years so plz let me knw if RR will sail thru the mentioned time frame.I have read the basic want to buy a bike and other threads and have understood a bit about components and there usage and need. Since my basic ride will be in city so have decided for a hybrid. Also i understand the stock tyres of rr are semi slick so they will be good enough for me ( or do i have to change them ?? )
I visited competitivecyclist site and did the fit test and got the results. (though i am having a hard time understanding them and how to implement it)
I think that i have to buy a L size for me. Is that correct ?? If yes then can i make the changes in the bike according to the reading from the Fit test ?
Also i called up justcycles shop in delhi and the guy over there said that they dont have stock for RR and no one in delhi would have that. So if i order online ( mouse-e ), can a noob like me assemble the bike or would i require help from experts ??
Please suggest some other good bikes in the range 10 - 15. I may strech by 5k if the bike is worth it so plz suggest me other options.
P.S : would have loved to buy a sporterra but it is way out of my budget.
