Cycling Federation of India is hoping to have Asia's first Pro Cycling Academy in Delhi by 2013 end.
The proposal for the Academy will be to Pat McQuaid, President of Union Cycliste Internationale, when he visits India for the 33rd Asian Cycling Championship in March.

The Asian Cycling Championship will be held from the 7-17th of March. Events like these will give a boost to the sport in India and give it a better shot at getting the academy in the country. 700 cyclists from 40 Asian countries will be taking part in this Championship. Some of the events of this Championship will be held at the Buddh International Circuit. (and people actually believed that BIC was for fast cars and bikes only!)
