  • Cycled to aunt's house(Bangalore-Bangarpet)

I had been to my Aunt's home many a times in Bangarpet.

Last time when I was driving back, a thought in mind, at least once I should cycle to this place.

    Finally the day arrived.

I started by 7AM in the morning from Horamvu(Banaswadi).

Went via Garden City College to reach the old madras road.

In no time I was in hoskote, 4 mins break for coffee and sip of water.

It was really a pleasant morning, the strong winds were from west east.

This added me to an extra advantage of easy pedaling. At a stretch odo read the max speed of 59 KMPH...:-O it was a real surprise. Then I realised I have a Cannondale Trail SL 5 29er worth it buying:-D.

Next stop was at kamath Hotel for a quick break fast of 15mins. In whole journey of 82 km had only 2 idlis and a litre of water....

At about 9:15 I was at the deviation to Bangarpet. Reached destination by 10:05AM.

    Total distance covered : 82kms
    Highest speed : 59.1 km/hr
Net Avg speed : 27.8km/hr (including 15mins break)

I stayed at Aunts house overnight. Next day visit to Kotilinga in the morning, surprised to see hundreds of deers and black bucks onthe stretch about 5 kms before the temple. Had lunch and started back home by 3PM. Again the weather was cloudy and awesome.

I enjoyed wind speed the previous day which eased me. It was now all against me, was like uphill ride on a flat elevation.

There was rain after I reached 5 kms and was completely drenched with not fenders and a dirty shlushy wet back... enjoyed every bit of it. Rain stopped.

Reached Kolar had a coffee break and pedalled continued pedaling. The winds speed became even worser and again started rained like hell with zero visibilty.

I was near the CCD(Cafe Coffee Day) near T-Narsapura. Then was no signs of the rain stopping. Stopped an Empty TATA ACE, got into it, in 45 mins was in KRPuram...it was slowly drizzling till I cycled from KRPuram to Home.

      Congrats
Avg. speed of 27.8 that too for a distance of 82kms is a real achievement, especially on a MTB.
