With 20-25k I feel your best bet is on scouting a used road bike. The Triban has only one ring at the the front, so you might struggle at inclines or during any long rides (>50kms)/tours.
Go for a proper road bike with 2or3 rings at front and not a compromised one.

PS: I'm not saying anything against Triban, my reply is targeted only for his needs.

Thanks a lot for your reply mate. You're absolutely right on your points, the bike will struggle in inclines owing to those single ring at front but there are literally no inclines where I ride.

I'm more of a someone who rides for recreation. I mix gym and cycling and my rides are always short ones. So I took a judgmental call and went ahead with the Triban 100 this Sunday. Enjoying every moment with the bike.

      Cheers!
