    Check Decathlon in your city.

And maybe someone from Bombay can guide you to a good store in the city.

First visit a few stores, check out what they have and then decide.

Important: Make sure you buy a bike which fits you.

    More Important: Increase your budget
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

Check out Olx. You can get good ones at almost half price.

With a budget of 13,000, try the Montra Downtown, which is a good hybrid. The Hercules Rodeo Hardliner is another good MTB at around 10k. Do consider Montra Madrock. It's around 12k, I reckon.

Hardliner is good for normal Indian roads, with potholes and the like. It's a steel bike and thus requires a bit more care than alloys.

Madrock is alloy, with disc brakes. Have the money, get it. Slightly more service costs than the Roadeo.

Don't get hyped up on 25k+ bikes, they have expensive service costs and unless you do rock jumping or trail usage they are not required.

Btwin has good reviews, but the frame design doesn't please me.

i think ill go with the hardliner as it fits in my budget and i don't want anymore service cost.

also is there any other bike similar to hardliner ? would appreciate your suggestion

              thanks

There is Mach City Munich which is a hybrid cycle. It's heavy, hopefully it can weather potholes. It's around 10k in Kerala.

Not idea about Hero cycles, they don't look smart to me.

Hercules Roadeo Riot and Hank are also pretty good looking, and have 21s Shimano Gears. Up to you to choose which suits you physically.

Guys, what are the choices at this range? I used to own a btwin rockrider 5.0 man. It was perfect, but then it got stolen.(this was back in 2013, it was the latest model too). I personally don't like hercules, or hero, or firefox(bought firefox after btwin got stolen). So which brand should i go for? Also I'll need a large frame and would also prefer 21speed. So should i go for the new btwin 300? How's that quality, is it the same as rockrider 5.0? I personally don't care about the frame design, i just want it to be designed to work efficiently.
                  Thanks in advance.
