    MTB Enthusiast looking to get serious

    Hi everyone, I am an MTB enthusiast who has been interested in this sport for a while now and would like to finally take it to the next step by purchasing my first proper mountain bike. I have just about graduated and started working full-time so I wouldn't say I have a lot of money saved up. After having done my research the following are two bikes I have shortlisted and would like some insight into -
    1) Roadeo A30 DD
    2) Hero Octane Springbok

    As it goes without saying, I am on a budget here but also open to suggestions on other bikes slightly over budget I could look investing into or also insights into why the aforementioned bikes might not be the best options when it comes to mountain biking.

      Great decision. Consider Montra or BTWIN from Decathlon as well. If they fit your budget, you'll get better quality, self maintainable and reliable bikes. Montra, Roadeo, Hercules and BSA are from same parent company TI Cycles.
      Edit: Why the above mentioned bikes are not the best.
      The bikes mentioned are from brands that focus mostly the general customers, teenagers and all who just want to have some fun, as a beginner. Moving forward, when you start taking bicycling seriously, you'll definitely look for an upgrade. Montra or BTWINs are Indian made and hence has premium quality at a lower price than brands like firefox etc. Personally speaking, Montra can be a great choice and it has traits from Roadeo with better frames and gears. Decathlon has good service on the other hand. So spend some time and if you can push a little on budget, get ome of these.
