  • Need help selecting a hybrid bike

    Dear all,
I’m trying to choose a hybrid bike , primarily for fitness and fun riding. Budget is max 25k.
    I was looking at
    1) Firefox Road Runner Pro D
    2) Montra Trance D
    3) B-Twin riverside 500.
And as you can expect, I’m thoroughly confused.
Surfing the web, I couldn’t find much about Firefox RR. Anything wrong with this brand?

    Thanks in advance!
    Godspeed!

Yesterday I spotted Triban-100 for 19000 bucks approx at Decathlon which is tremendous value for money for a comfort geometry road bike with thicker section tyres. It's a thoroughly enjoyable configuration. and you should definitely try it out once.

Note - I use a Triban 500 for the past 4 years and also have a Rock-Rider 560, so have a little experience with this.

Any Road Runner riders here? Need a feedback on the road runner pro D. Surfing the web you don’t see people talking about this bike much. Spec sheet looks good to me, would like to know user opinion on it.
              Thanks!

Hi, For normal fun riding / fitness activities, you can even look at Firefox Rapide. It is a tried and tested VFM bike. I have a montra and firefox rapide in my family & can vouch for rapide.
Positive for roadrunner is altus groupset which is marginally better than acera in Rapide. Shock absorbers you wont be needing for normal riding as they decrease efficiency somewhat. And i know Mumbai roads and potholes, still i dont see a requirement for Shocks for roads.
Mechanical disc brakes are great for braking, but only issue i have found in those is that readjustment of them is a pain which many of mechanics mess up easily.

try to visit shops and finalize one which suits your body and budget

                Happy pedalling

Seen lot of positive review for Firefox rapide, but in Kerala there is no stock , some issue with the dealer, so am also confused .
People here prefer Bergamont helix1.5, Fantom Thor.
