    You have to try & get your hands on the K1600GT/GTL. I sure think this will be the front contender for 2011 bike of the year.

      Phew..amazing, simply amazing ! Infact in todays TOI-zigwheels newspaper i got to see this beauty, and wasnt i smitten all ends up ? COMPLETELY ! And visited xbhp, to see an awesome review on the same by ken da. Infact i love BMW engineers for creating such 'hatke' designs for theirs bikes. It takes a lot of guts to do such unconventional thing. And am i complaining? No ! Infact, a huge fan i have become of their designs.
      P.s. : Not much of a technical guy, simply adore bikes based on their looks.
      Never heard a music more soulful than that of a superbike machine

            Woah, woah, woah!!! You finally tamed the beast, and lived your fantasy ever since sighting the bike in flesh at BMW ac ouple of weeks ago Great job, and nice review. Hope you have a bunch of better photos hidden somewhere.

            The white colour combo looks especially stunning, and after reading your first impressions, I am sure many more are going to be lusting about this incredible machine.

            You mentioned that you rode it around for almost a 100kms!!! Wow, that's a lot, and more than enough to get a decent feel of the bike's capabilities on all fronts. Wish I was in Delhi at the right time and the right place, and without a broken wrist

            I thought you had left for Europe on the 1st of June, and then after I get back from my Bhutan trip, and access the internet after almost 10 days, I see this surprise. Initially I thought you rode this in Europe...but surprise, surprise...you did it right here in Delhi.

            Are ride impressions of the GS and S1000RR coming soon too? If they're not planned yet, get yourself to ride them as soon as you can. Can't wait to hear about how they treat you too

              The only thing I didn't liked about the writeup was the fact that I was not there seeing you playing with such a brilliant machine

              Amazing writeup and images Ken Da, and the best thing was, your style of writing really teleports the reader to the scene of action almost immediately.

              And as Simba said, looking forward to read more of BMW Motorrard from you.

                They are sticklers for rules. Nothing sub Litre class as of now till further relaxation of rules.

                How can I describe something initially indescribable. It felt a little different. Feedback is of a different kind. But when you start pushing it round the corners, it gives a better stiffness feel. I liked pushing it around the bends!

                The photos became a problem because of unforeseen technical and logistical problems that could not be handled then. It was unfortunate despite having 3 DSLRs around!

                About the GS and the S1000RR... hmm, I would love to...

                    Fantastic review Ken da! I think it will compete in the streetfigher's segment not monsters.

                    Surprising machine. I haven't seen that kind of front suspension in any of the bikes previously. Ken da! could you please throw some light on its mechanism??

                    Can a comparo be organised between this and streetfighter S? I would love to see it any day..

                      Wow, these Beemers have attracted me since my childhood whether its 4-wheeled or 2-wheel. The K1300 seems to be enormously big and yes the odd shape adds on to its beauty. Would love to see or even ride her any day. A very well written review Ken Da. Good to see these beautiful bikes in our market...

                            Superb review Ken. One more addition to my dream garage. The line that i took home,
                            "They have come up with a bike that makes a biker a bike addict. That is like selling snow to an Eskimo and succeeding in doing so with aplomb."
                            10 Commandments:
                            1)Thank thy God for being alive.
                            2)Thou shalt respect one's own life and the live's of other road users.
                            3)Thou shalt respect one's own bike.
                            4)Love thy bike as thy self.
                            5)Always wear safety gear.
                            6)Alcohol is a strict NO!
                            7)Thou may lust after thy neighbour's bike specially if its of the R1 kind!
                            8)Thou shalt ride with 'ultra-most' care and caution when on Indian roads.
                            9)Thou shalt never leave the engine running at long traffic halts.
                            10)Thou shalt follow all of the above.

                              Just too bloody awesome. bmw and ducati's launch is all over the news!
                              Biking is transcendental evolution.
                              Longest ride(Mahindra Mojo)- Delhi - Kempty - Chakrata - Delhi - 860 kms - 3 days.
