But if this 138 has a P220esque 7.3% speedo error, it is a very disappointing 128.6 which can be easily be matched by even the current P180 ug4.
A bike is not all about speed and power. For people wishing just for that there is the current p220 anyways.
They could have as well made a pulsar 250 with the current 220 as base, but they have not chosen that path. Instead they are trying to bring more refinement into this product. liquid cooling, 4 valves, mono suspension, better frame and swing arm, etc..
The pulsar brand is branching to give more refined options which is vital for an international brand.

How much was the top speed of the old 220??? I mean the top speed the company stated.

@Above The company rated top speed was 145kmph. I have personally done 154 on speedo which corresponds to 143.5 on GPS.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Thanks mate, looked it up just now:

            a quote from the article:
Fat tubeless tyres and petal discs moored to ten-spoke alloys at both ends round up the big-bike impression.
            ...
            ...
280mm and 230mm diameter petal discs at both front and rear does the stopping duties but we will reserve judgment over how efficient it really is until the full road-test next month

Quote from the Bike India short review: The New Order

Shift+Delete. Forget everything that you know about Pulsars. Throw all your preconceived notions about how the addition of KTM chromosomes into the Pulsar DNA ought to turn out, out of the window. Because, and we are glad to report this, the Pulsar 200NS is a completely different breed of beast from its predecessors, and interestingly enough, even from the bike it shares its platform with, the KTM 125 and 200 Duke...

... Barrelling down the main straight we saw an indicated 141kmph on the speedo before hitting the anchors. That's proper fast! Bajaj claims a 0-60kmph timing of 3.61 seconds and sprint to 100 from naught in just 9.83 seconds - which we will confirm once we strap our timing gear onto it - and it certainly felt like the bike was capable of achieving it.

Like in the current Pulsars, this one also has a counterbalancer, but here it makes the bike a lot smoother, which, combined with its rev-happy nature and slick transmission, makes it an exhilarating machine. Vibes are practically non-existent, even at the top of its rev range when the orange shift light is blinking madly, warning you to upshift.

yeah they seem to test my patience...hmm no matter i aint gonna give up that easily good stuff takes more time to come out... but i did go though a couple of other reviews and all mention different top speeds according to what they have got out of their best efforts.Out of all reviews so far bike india seem to have mentioned the best performance figure so far(yes i am little bit towards top end he he...)they seem to have got the highest in the speedo indicated figures of a too good 141 kmph.I am therefore more tensed about the real world gps figure which could/will go down as usual... i hope the speedo to be more acurate with the least chances for errors.
