Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250 Review : xBhp's First impression & ride report
I would like to point out that I have not suffixed these adjectives against the qualities you mentioned. I am not sure what 'sorted' means here. Also the engine is definitely very refined. Rest is very subjective and of course open to discussion in a sane manner.Originally posted by lockhrt999 View Post

+1. Some guys are acting like those who select their bride through photos only. Her eyebrows are uneven, her smile not too good, her hairs not curvy enough, she looks fat! Meet the girl (bike in this contextOriginally posted by Sunny View PostI would like to point out that I have not suffixed these adjectives against the qualities you mentioned. ), spend some quality time with her, then decide.
The adjectives that are referred in that post are truly laughable. As if a bike has to satisfy only those many qualities. If that would be it, Royal Enfield would be long out of businees!
There is a difference between a market for college goers, and for mature riders. GS150 is for matured riders from the word go. So is Unicorn. Still they are selling. Otherwise only R15, Apache and Pulsar would be ruling the market. Some of use are just determined to hate the bike!
Trying to look at the positives, with some points not considered:
1. Reliable engine (expected because of the history)
2. Road presence (as per other reviews)
3. Commuter + Tourer, so you won't be suffering from low torque at low RPM, or low speed at high RPM. A mix and match.
4. Not youthful as in looking as if cut sharply here and there by a sword weilding ninja
No, and thankfully so. Some of us take the bike to formal/family functions too, not just to friends outing.
5. Not as noisy 'durr-durr-durr-durr' of some specific high capacity bikes. Liberating to some, irritating to others.
6. Comfortable sitting position, without any bend here and there
7. Mileage around 30/35 kmpl as per international testing.
I am still keeping my fingers crossed for the bike, simply because Suzuki has shown in past that it knows how to create a meaningful bike.

Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250 Review : xBhp's First impression & ride report
Nice review and pictures Sunny sir. If Suzuki changes the front mudguard and the extensive rear overhang, the motorcycle as well may end up looking good. This bike can very well be assumed to be grown up GS150- smooth, effortless but innocuous in character. Even if it were to retain this sort of nature but for a higher power output from the twin, the overall package could have become a lot more fetching

This Bike can't even cruise at 110kmph is hard to believe..i had watched few videos on youtube where this bike was touching 150kmph...Anyways i wish Suzuki price it wisely...

Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250 Review : xBhp's First impression & ride report
I have mentioned that the bike felt stressed at 110 kmph. Cruising means it shouldnt feel so, even though you can definitely do it! I rode the bike for 30kays and hence this first impression should be taken as such. Logically a 250 CC twin cylinder mill should not have any problems in long hauls.Originally posted by Satyamzma View PostThis Bike can't even cruise at 110kmph is hard to believe..i had watched few videos on youtube where this bike was touching 150kmph...Anyways i wish Suzuki price it wisely...

About 'sorted': When I look at the R15 I see perfection. That's all I meant by sorted.

Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250 Review : xBhp's First impression & ride report
I think the bike WILL stand out from the crowd, primarily owing to its dimensions and those twin exhausts. Very 'mature' in its design, the headlights look out of place though.
According to many reviews done abroad, this should better the fuel efficiency figures of the other 250s . Suzuki approach here I think, will be to target the tourers and the more reserved crowd. If the GS 150r can sell, among the pulsars, rtrs and the fzs, then I see no reason why this will not sell if priced appropriately ie alteast 40 to 50k lesser than the CBR.
A practical yet powerful VFM twin. Well I feel the introduction of this bike marks a significant milestone in the Indian biking scenario. A bike for every discerning buyer!

Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250 Review : xBhp's First impression & ride report
I would concur with Sunny's first impression. The Hyosung GT250R only manages to be on par with CBR250R when it comes to performance despite its twin cylinder setup and more bhp. And that's primarily because it is very heavy at 188kgs. So if Suzuki Inazuma weights at 181kgs, it definitely won't make it a scorcher even with a parallel twin as the power it generates is a mild 24.5 bhp. But most likely, it's going to be a delightfully comfortable two-up tourer (not a very fast one though).
@princesirohi: Why would you assume that Inazuma being a parallel twin would have less torque at low RPMs?Last edited by Satellite.kid; 05-21-2013, 02:14 AM.The Chronicles of Motorcycling - The Man, The Machine and The Road

Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250 Review : xBhp's First impression & ride report
Firstly thanks for the nice report and awesome pics Sunny but I somehow feel Suzuki is losing it in it's India foray. This is not South East Asia. This is not Japan or EU or America. India is different market altogether and they should understand it now. Ever since their TVS days Suzuki has been dishing out the most horrid designs at this country for God only know what joy. The Inazuma is clearly a motorcycle from another era as someone mentioned earlier and to add to that another market altogether. This is not the product you want to launch to reclaim your market. I dunno if they wanted to launch a naked street bike they should have done something like the XJR shouldn't they? This is like a Bandit fallen sick. This just doesn't cut it.2003 Kinetic GF170 Laser Sport Edition

Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250 Review : xBhp's First impression & ride report
Considering that this same Inazuma/GW250 is going to be Suzuki's weapon against the likes of CBR250R, Ninja 300/250 and probably KTMs in some other markets as well, let's not make India to be an exception for this supposedly outdated looking motorcycle. Suzuki is launching/has launched this motorcycle globally, unless I am wrong, so GW250 is what they have for everyone including us. If the motorcycle proves its performance potential as it's designed to, it will be fairly successful in all markets.Originally posted by sabret00the View PostFirstly thanks for the nice report and awesome pics Sunny but I somehow feel Suzuki is losing it in it's India foray. Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250 Review : xBhp's First impression & ride report
No offence to anyone as such, But it looks exceptionally ugly
. What's with designers these days? They seem to be competing in a rat race to make the most ugliest or funny looking vehicle.
Cant seem to find one angle where the bike would look decent. To finish First, first you must Finish!
