    2 questions however.

    1. Is the front tire (minus central grooves) any good for rains?
    2. Why does the front number plate point skyward?

      If the front number plates are hidden under headlight , polices does not find it easy :P :P

      Nice review ..

      Nice to see bajaj again using 54*54.4 cylinder , same as my platina 125 .
      Don't know bajaj again started using 4 gears,before bajaj mostly offered 5gears to all 125ccs
      I found these 4 valves bajaj engines feels very happy on highway but not on hilly slopes and peak traffic , as its power comes in higher range it needs more gear shift when compared to 2valve discovers or platina 125s (Its totally my feeling after riding my p125 and a ST back to back)..
      Though new st & t have super awesome handling that I love to live with..

      Here bajaj is using LED tail lamps which is saving lots of power (which I had to do DIY in my p125)..

        No clue, only rode it on completely dry tarmac.

          I have always loved the smoothness of Bajaj engines (atleast when the bike is new ) , the competitive price of their bikes and of course the styling and gizmos even for entry level commuter bikes. But I don't understand the concept of introducing too many versions of the same product year after year. Discover 125, 100, 135, 150, 125ST. 100T, 100M, 125M. Though introducing these many varieties may showcase many Discovers on road (brand publicity), the engine/gearbox spare parts are still different for each version (like the 4 speed and 5 speed gearbox in 125/125T and 125ST). If they keep updating their models in such short intervals, I wonder how Bajaj will maintain a consistent supply of spare parts in the long run (say even after 5 or 6 years after the product launch).

            Bajaj is totally opposite from jap's, they keep on bringing newer variants of the same model,with little less here, little more there philosophy,just look at yamaha till date they have not upgraded there FZs even when the competition is hammering them for a newer model, down the time one wonders how many of these variants from bajaj will vanish from the market and with them there spare parts.

              That is a very crucial point Kusmaker !!!

              Bajaj had introduced the XCD 125 /135 a few years back, which was discontinued. The spare parts are rarely available. Even the service center guys give a look as if customers are talking in alien language when we ask for XCD parts. In the past 2 years, Bajaj has launched the discover 100 dtsi, 125ST, 100T then the 125T, 100M and now 125M. Maybe they will discontinue the 125ST and 100 dtsi and the service center will start giving looks when customers asks for spare parts. If this continues, Bajaj is going to have serious issues with customer support and satisfaction.

                Actually Bajaj is behaving like chinese companies with use and throw method, moreover when a company introduces so many variants of the same model they have to keep churning spare parts for every single variant and that is one hell of a task for manufacturing units, and company, and on one day you came to know that this variant is stopped abruptly, the amazing thing in whole of this variant juggling is that bajaj himself is not sure that which model will bring them maximum sale (that's what i think) so they want to attack every single customer in the market, and keep bringing models and variants, instead they should focus more on products bullet proof reliability, longevity,customer satisfaction, and above all Bajaj's own confidence in the product.

                  Both tyres look like recipe for aquaplaning. even risky in gravel.

                    Had a test ride of the 125 M of my dearest friend. ..while riding noticed that the bike will a big smile on the face of the owner's by gaining a huge milage and the entire bike looks good , clutch gear shifts , control , paint quality are good ...somehow bajaj had done some mistakes also poor grip of tyres , for taller person the bike will give some discomfort while riding because of the shorter tank ..also the suspension is in a stiffer side on average road conditions. ..as a daily commuter it feels good.

                      Fully agree here. Once the free services are over and the actual maintenance schedules start, we will really find it difficult to match critical engine parts, unless these variants are only marketing gimmiks
