    Re: KTM RC 390 Reviewed!

Excellent review. To be honest I'm a total newbie and have never ridden a bike. Have always been totally into cars ( have driven Porsche , Mustangs , super charged Camaros , and own cars from Verna to a BMW and Lexus) but the KTM is one bike which has kindled my interest in bikes , so much so that I want one badly.

Maybe it's because of a mid life crisis , don't really know but now I need to get my 2 wheeler license if I need this.

I loved the pic of the race bike with the Akrapovic exhaust. Do you have any idea if KTM installs these as power parts for customers in India.

I've requested my dealer for a quote and possibility of fixing this if I get the bike but hasn't got back to me yet.

      Hi guys,

I am new to this site, I am very passionate about bikes from my childhood & used to change bikes every year. I loved RX135 & owned for a year later switched to unicorn untill i heared about R15V2.0 . I took it as soon as it launched & using it from past 3 years since no bike after it took away my sleep with its glorry. I have booked Elite i20 will get it in march 2015 but more than that i am getting dragged towards KTM RC390 it is really hot in most of the angles & its power figures are really attractive for its price tag & package it comes with. I always wanted to buy a superbike but i am not that much rich so that i can afford it but i am looking forward to buy some better package with heart touching looks & performance under 4lak price so please suggest me friends can i go with RC390 or should i wait for R3 ?

Is there any news of Duke690 coming to INDIA guys?

RC 390 is the best bet right now. Hot looks and pretty good performance value. Long term ownerships also seem very positive.

KTM may increase the price when Bajaj launches the 400 SS so it's better to get the RC now.

RC390 is a great choice. But keep your options wider and better. If you are looking for raw power and great mid range acceleration go for the RC390. Its truly a bike worth its price. But if you got a price margin of upto 4Lakhs why not give the Ninja 300 a test ride? Better refined and also you get twin cyls.

          Hey,

The mirrors are fairly useful if u are around 5,6-5,8. The mirrors can only be adjusted horizontally which is kindof a disappointing. And also the bike does get a bike vibey above 8k Rpm so expect the mirrors to be shaky aswell.

There are all sorts of rumors, some say that ktm will be launching 690 duke in India in 2015 and some say that ktm won\'t be launching it here
instead the company is gonna launch a 500cc and a 800cc dual cylinder.

Your nearest KTM showroom can guide you better on price.

Pillion seat is not much comfortable and it is hard. It surely gonna pain but one might get used to it later. But still it depends on individual.

A test drive can only answer.
