    Re: Suzuki Intruder 150 Review

    Intruder 150: First Ride Impressions.

    1. Styling is great except the handlebar design which makes it look like the Activa, LITERALLY
    2. Sitting posture is comfortable, the seat is comfortable as well. Handlebars are actually at teh same distance as the GSX150, only the seat height is lower, so that was a weird experience
    3. Leg position is not comfortable if you have long legs, I am 6ft tall for reference. Also if you try to hold the body of the bike using your legs like you would on the GSX, your knee joint is going to feel pressure against sharp angled plastics.
    4. Throttle response is smooth and linear. The engine ISNT rev happy which is surprising to me. The engine braking ISNT as horrible as the GSX which is surprising again.
    5. Gear shifts are surprisingly smoother compared to the GSX. I am not sure if its because the transmission is a little different or if the shift linkage and shifter positions are different. I dint like the Shifter pedal since its the classic pedal style (2 pedal surfaces> front and back)
    6. Handling is Exquisite. In combination with the less engine braking I had quite a bit of fun with U-turns.
    7. Suspension was very nice; along with the soft seats you could barely feel road bumps.
    8. Brakes: This was the most disappointing factor of the lot. The rear brakes are almost non-existent I would say even by "rear brake standards". Unlike what PowerDrift said, the front brake is S*** as well. The ABS intrudes with the front braking too quickly and too much. Even by the 4 Stage braking standards, the ABS is acting really weird.

Weird thing: I could not see a brake fluid reservoir for the rear brakes. Infact the entire braking system is a bit complicated to explain here.

P.S: DO-NOT consider this as a review if you are planning to buy the Intruder. Test the bike yourself. And DO-NOT compare it with the Gixxer.

Just a reminder that the Gixxer has really stiff suspension which gives superior handling which can shame a Duke 200. But might rattles your bones in some patches of roads. So take a long test ride to see how it feels.

Not sure how the Intruder 155 is setup. If it's the same, you can easily adjust the preload of rear suspension and dial it down by one click from stock setting, for a more comfortable suspension.

      Cheers!
I am 6.1 ft and I had no problem on avenger 220 cruise model which has mini ape type handle bar plus forward set foot pegs help , only issue is there would be hand pain if you are riding in traffic for long which true for all cruise owners I guess due to raised handlebars . I tried street but there was back pain . For taller riders who want cruiser avenger 220 cruise will be better than street , no experience on Suzuki intruder

Bought the bike and have covered 1000Kms and have done the first service at around 850Kms, the bike responds very good, zero vibrations compared to Avenger 150, Intruder 150 is very quick can be compared to R15 in gearing ratio & speed! Overall loved the bike let's see how it goes in long term

What is the typical mileage you are seeing on this bike?

                        Re: Suzuki Intruder 150 Review

Rear issue can somehow be fixed by a genuine Suzuki backrest. I have a 2004 Thunderbird and tried the Intruder. Loved it. Looks massive. It is not a typical 150 CCer.

I liked the looks of the bike from front. Rear is an issue but we all know it so don't want to say anything.
Prices are wrong for gixer155 and intruder.
