wow!! Controlling a bike with so much power at the rear wheel...great stuff.... Almost 25% more power than the competition. I just hope The Big Four find the answer to Germans very quickly.

I was blown away by this machine at the MCN show at London earlier this year.

Never knew about their ingenious key-ring though

Sadly, I was only able to sample the bike at standstill. But sample it I did!!! I'm hoping that you guys had a much better experience with this BMW masterpiece, in terms of seeing it and listening to it on the go. Did you by any chance get an opportunity to ride it? Can't wait to hear a "Yes".....

For those who might have missed it...this is what got me awestruck in early February, 2010...

Can't wait for the masterpiece photos from Italy now...

        .....Simba

The detailed First Impression from Sunny will follow.. we spent a lot of time with the bike in two locations... With the rider deep in the Apennine mountains talking to and photographing the BMW rider and then with Chris Pfeiffer at his home. We did not get a chance to ride it but am sure we will find a way of reviewing it soon, somehow.

Chris Pfeiffer at his home...wow!!! That must have been an experience to cherish.

It would've been great if you guys had got a chance to ride the beast, but I'm sure that day will come soon, too.

That detailed first impression and photos highly anticipated.

This was a First Glance and not an impression if you guys noted. So no first ride etc for now (however I had a feeling that the guy might have given us the bike for a few kays if we had requested him to swap for the similarily delicious Streetfighter S, but we just respected the unsaid rules !). However for now here are few more pics from the moment in the hills when we got to the BMW rider up close:

The owner typing in his email iD in my iPhone to hook up later while I clicked him!

This plus approx 10 minutes of video is what we could reap in 15 minutes of exposure to this machine!

I noted both in Chris' S1000R and this one that the rear LED cluster flashes at a high rate when the bike is in first gear and about to accelerate, I dont know when that event happens but it sure does!

The video will be a part of the Italian roadtrip documentary hitting xBhp soon!

I will put up some pictures of Chris Pfeiffer's BMW up here soon!

All I can say is that we are still hallucinating - As if in a trance and trying to share the experience with our friends here.

That wish was buried deep in our hearts but just couldnt ask. We were committed to Ducati to not give our bike to anyone and as Sunny says, we were following an un-written rule.

Chris is such a down to earth person that he shared all the time we wanted and made us very comfortable. He is God of stunting and at 40 said that he will continue to do this as long he thinks he can improve - That is a Man of Steel.

I am sure Sunny will get in touch with BMW and will get a bike to test ride it very soon! I am trying to work towards it.

I said I am trying. I am not promising anything. If I could have directly done something, I would have already done it.
