  • [Photo Feature]: All Souls Day in Shillong every 2nd November

All Souls Day is a special day where all the deceased and dear departed are remembered by the Roman Catholic Church and followers. In Shillong, every 2nd November there is a special Mass where relatives of the dead would place flowers and light candles as a sign of love and rememberence. This time I would like to take this opportunity to share with the rest of the xBhpians few photographs and hope you will like the night captures and how beautiful the cemetry looks on this particular day.

Every 2nd November of the year
I feel in heaven as I pass by the Cemetry
Every grave brightened by more than thousands of candles,
Thousands of lovely boquets, garlands and flowers
People praying by the side of their dear departed-loved ones
I feel like a angel so soothing and calm
Yet tears would build up my eyes as I remember...
    my one and only Daddy.

Eternal Rest Grant to all of them Lord,
And let the Perpetual Light Shine upon Them
    Amen!

    Hope you like it.
    More coming soon.

Thanks buddy. Christians believe that the souls in pourgatory need our prayers. We always pray for them so that their sins may be forgiven and hence be able to enter the Kingdom of God and recieve Eternal Rest.

Anyway, here are the remaining of my collections, few of them which I am not sure was captured by Ben too. Thanks Conrad for the Cam.

Night photography is indeed tough for a newbie like me.

even professional photographers face trouble in dealing with night photography!
The perfect synchronisation of exposure, white balance and shutter speed is quite difficult to attain at the first go!
