  • Best 3G network in north India?

Which carrier has the best 3G network in India specially in UP (E), Delhi and NCR?

I have used BSNL service before in UP and it was pretty good but that was when 3G was not launched in India. What's the situation now?

Not much different. Nobody offers video conference protocol as yet.

The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Video call was launched by do co mo, and then rolled back as per instructions from TRAI. 3g is more in its early days now...

the data service from BSNL 3G is choppy at best. It was much better till about 10 days back so cant say if it is temporary. The data connection used to disconnect after every 401.6 MB . They seemed to have fixed that limitation but now the overall service is choppier with much higher no.s of disconnections whenever the connection is idle. There is no way to bypass the provided dialier software at least on windows, so couldnt verify if it was a software trouble or a network issue. No idea about video calls, not tried yet.. I am using it on the data card.

^^I am using BSNL 3G...you can configure windows to auto dial if the connection drops and you dont have to connect using the BSNL software(thats what i am doing).BSNL 3g rocks when it comes to speed even in villages like mine...i get 400kB/sec-430kB/sec consistently on well seeded torrents

with the triband modem i also getting 2 mbps upload speed

I have the 7.2 mbps one.. just had a random disconnection.. even though I had streaming music on just so that the connection doesn't stay idle.. right now I am getting 4 bars on HSDPA.

my friend is getting around 350kB/sec with just 3 bars...may be too much traffic in your place. For frequent disconnection try this...you dont have to manually press "connect"...windows connects automatically if the connection drops:

I am basically want to use a network on which I can run my iPhone video apps and you tube like stuff, pretty neatly if not seamlessly.

                            ?

From my limited knowledge, I would advise to go for BSNL for good coverage. Other carriers are not carrying 3G pan India!
