  • Our Darling two wheels..Lets praise them!!!

Hey folks, Just starting this thread because like evryone here i love my bike very much, its one of my best friends since class 10th..!!! For past 8 year it served me like a honest companion and make me feel like I am a born rider and no one can beet me anywhere on raod..!!! I am writting all this because today 28th Sep 11 i am going to buy a new Pulsar 220, and going to give my "first girlfriend" a stop, and really with heart full of emotions and mind full of exitment want to share few words with you, friends coz no one else will listen to the evolution of a boy to become a man with a bike...!!

On 16th Dec 2003 my dad gifted me this flame red coloured "Hodddibaba" yes Bajaj Caliber 115 k- tech. And i became the king of roads. Believe me friends, till the date the bike has never complaint about me neither i did about him. Now its odo is showing some 81,323 kms but still its accelrates like hell.. No work in engine till now, writting this while sitting in office so cant upload the pics of the moments i have spent with my caliber but ill definetly some time in near future. Some pioneers i have set on it..

    > Caliber claimed top speed on paper 100 Km/h - 107 touched.
    > Rode consistent 230 kms without any issues.
    > 7 guys at a time on the bike and travelled 1.5 kms aprox.

Either u call it my madness or whatever, but i love it like a kid loves his fav toy.

Just i want to pay a holy tribute to my Darling, and hope my next ride will also perform bit similarly if not exactly.

    -Thanks-

    love of life..Biking !! :)

          Congratulations on 2 things
Keeping the Caliber with you till date. Believe me, I have rode my friends Caliber. It's just a FANTASTIC machine. It's First lower end CC bike, the exhaust of which was a SWEEET music. It had a grunt that, at that point of time, even 150 CC bikes didn't had. It was really a workholic machine. Please do not sell that bike ever!!

Second, congrats to you once again for your P220. Believe me, it's a well value for money product. You keep the regular checks & it's gonna give you HIGH of Dopes. This one hell of a tourer.

Congratulations Brother on getting the "The fastest Indian'
I know the feeling of getting rid of your first love..

            What a coincidence!!!!
I too started with a 2003 December Flame red Kawasaki Caliber 115(Hodibabaaaaa) ..Such a lovely piece of machine.. Not a single issue till the day I sold her (May 2011) so that I could welcome a new GS 150R to the family...

Although I love my new bike, but the kind of rush that a mere 115 produced was unmatched and I rode her for a good 54+k Kms and it was just awesome...Can't express it in words..

I taught many of my friends to ride a bike on my caliber..
But only sad thing is I couldn't kept both the bikes so kudos to that and ride safe..

            Happy biking..

You seem to be bowled over by P220. New colour scheme does look good. Please put on the leg gaurd. Will save the fairing to an extent during a fall.

Congrats brother on your new bike. Even my previous bike was a 2003 Hoodibaba But be careful with those brakes. Took me a while to get used to the increased stopping force.

Also, believe me when I tell you that this one will ALSO be as faithful as our previous bike . Enjoy your ride and ride safe.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Thanks .... yeah i feel like the bike is too much heavy beyond my expectations, usualy i have got hands on my friends p150 and that was normal. Secondly i found rear brakes not very much effective since the day i have recived ..i think needs some adjustment and truely amazed by the power of projectors..awesome man!!!!.

As Antz.bin said, you need to take it bit easy first. Get hang of the new POPWER & brakes. This bike can really shoot, so be very careful while takign off from Redlight in Delhi/NCR as people has the habit of jumping red light.
