Is it good for my R15 as well? Pardon me, but what advantage will it have?

well, I responded to ur PM abt this and am in mo mood to even copy & paste it here!

I still have two cans left at home.

So u decided not to use them? as such, the oil doesn't have an expiry date and I'd suggest another thought. Else, as u see there are ppl ready to buy it out from u...

i might need 2 or 3 cans!

btw rtr has done 4.5k kms since i changed to petronas.......oil colour has become black.....but the viscosity still seems to be very good! complete vfm!

Satish, more than the colour or viscoscity test, I'd like to hear from u about the vibes smoothing out test beyond 110 KMPH that you did during our Hampi ride... I guess that'll show the true state of the oil!

OT: Even I would love to buy this oil. What is the cost? How did u guys buy it? Can I get it just 2 - 3 cans? Whom and how to contact? Some help pls!!

We're planning to buy a full crate (16 cans) from Mumbai. Buying full crate gives a decent discount that you still get it below MRP after inclusing the transport costs. As such the oil's new MRP is around Rs 450 and the old one is Rs 330. Hope there's some old stock still left

Last time it worked out to be 3-5 rupees less per can on MRP but this time it might go up to at least 10 Rs lesser per can.

On another note, may be I can send u some cans either in the similar way that we're getting from Mumbai or may be with my friend in Chennai who visits Hyd at least once every month.

Hyd thats good option. I would love to take 2 - 3 cans. But how good is it? I can see all thse testimonials from u guys, but have any of u used MOTUL 300V. Care to draw a conclusion between the two? I did not like Castrol Power1 Racing Synthetic. Did u use it on ur R15 KP? I can see that Satish has given great reviews.

No one here used the Motul 300V FL 5W40 so far. We did not even compare it much with the Power1 Racing... except one guy, who didn;t give a review yet

I expect this oil to be at least on par with the Power1 Racing and at that price I feel any synthetic is a paisa vasool I did hear someone in Mumbai rating this better than the power1 racing for the RTR.

I am using this oil in R15 and Victor. Both these are working better with this oil than with all others I have tried before. This is my first try with Fully Synthetic oils though. Satish is happy with this oil for his RTR.

I guess it works out cheaper to drive down to Pune and buy a can from there... I don't think any bus service runs from Hyd to Aurangabad so that the cans can be transported easily and with low cost.

KP am talking about 300V 15W50 which am incidentally using on my R15. Am also using the 5100 20W40 Mineral on the RTR Fi and am happy with both. Actually am more than satsified with MOTUL 300V, thats why asked. And please dont talk about Castrol here. It is not even worth a comparo!!!

Anyways all this is OT here. Ping me once u have got the cans!

someone tried that 300v 15w50 and said the engine is smoooooooth.... well, that is expected... but the oil is thick enuff to trouble you for top end performance and quick acceleration (assumption) and we didn't want to try a xW50 oil for R15 as the engine is a high revving one and also is running very cool.

BTW, Motul 5100 is semi synth. I believe ur RTR Fi is still pretty new. May be u should let it run in properly first and then go for the synthetics or synthetic blends.

^^Sorry, probably the nomenclature is wrong. I got the W40 mineral from MOTUL(called 3100 IIRC). As for the R15, as I had put-up in the R15 thread, the Vixion is recommended with W40/W50 by Yam. So I suppose there will not be much of an issue. I do not find a top-end difference as of now. Lets see how it works in the long run...

@Apar, my take on this is 1) Indonesia is an equatorial country and 2) I do not have first hand experience with a W50 oil in the R15.

I'd better leave it apart and listen to ur experience then
