    btw... my brother-in-law has recently purchased a new maruti esteem...
    will check it on that too...
    but he's in Mumbai & i might be going there in Jan2005 end...
    just hoping that by that time his running in completes properly!

      first of all let me tell u that i dont drive four wheelers ....
      but i got hands on my bro's zen....so just accelerated a bit...but got scared afterwards

      zen : 95kph
      p150 classic : 110kph(with pillion)
      p180dtsi : 127 kmph
      p150dtsi v2 : 95 kph (with pillion)
      yamaha rx135 : 97 kph
      cbz : 102 kph
      kinetic honda : 75 kph

          @scary skull- no way u can do 160 in 3rd gear on an esteem........ max is is 120-130(true speed) .... have tried out myself...... pls post a snap if u can do it... no offence pal...
          @sachin- isnt she a pleasure to drive i.e esteem... just luv the grunt... had a 65 bhp carb bef .. nw drive a 85 bhp mpfi....... but top speed is 170(speedo read ) max....

            hey today my chetak showed a speed of 120kmph!
            while i was moving in 2nd gear @ top revs ...!
            & when i stopped @ the red-light, it still was showing 120kmph...!LOL...

            these meters develops fault very easily...! a thud in a pothole & u might be cruising at 200kmph in no time...!
            vrrrooooooommm....BOOMMM...! Heard the sonic boom? Yeah, it was me...!

                @redrage : the mpi esteem does around 150 true in 3rd gear which is app 160 accordin to speedo. (accordin to OD as well as ACI)

                        i dunno abt o.d pal but on driving experince and a total of almost livin 9 years with the esteem i say she redlines 6500 at 140-145(speedo).. taking it above that will make the engine more harsher and will lose out on speed.....

                                155 - chevrolet optra
                                125 on my eliminator durin manor ride. dunno if it was a speedo or wat crap
                                smell my exhausts if u cant keep up wid my ride!!!
