Only 3 jackets & 3 gloves can be brought, because he has other stuff to bring. Sorry, no shoes/helmets! Also, leather jackets attract custom duty, so pls focus on textile/mesh. He is leaving on 28 Jan 09, so hurry up your search.

You have two choices to deposit money:

1. Order the stuff directly to his residence in US by your account + add handling cost (converted to INR from USDINR=X: Summary for USD to INR - Yahoo! Finance) to his account. This will get the stuff to India, Mumbai/Pune. Additionally, you have to bear the shipping cost from Mumbai/Pune to your residence.

2. If you can't buy the stuff directly, deposit the shipped cost to US + handling cost (converted to INR from USDINR=X: Summary for USD to INR - Yahoo! Finance) to his account. Again, you have to bear the shipping from Mumbai/Pune to your house.

He will send receipts of buying proof, as well as the shipped details. So you can buy tension free!

One thing to note, even though the stuff will be brand new, he 'may not' keep the tags on the jacket, for customs. If he has to remove them, he will be bringing them seperately, so you will get it intact.

In case of camera/laptop/mp3-video player (1 each), there will be no external box, because otherwise he can't claim them as his own. So I prefer Mumbai/Pune buyers for such stuff, though we can work something out for other cities.
