JEFF PARKER'S FOUR CORNERS RIDENote: To know more of the Four Corners Ride see this link USA Four Corners Tour Information
Jeff Parker passed on to his maker on the 2nd of December just a few days after he'd made that last post, the one I'd started this thread with. The grace and dignity with which this man has accepted his end is not just inspirational but borders on the divine. We are fortunate to have been touched by his words in however an indirect a manner. We are blessed to have been shown by him that death is not necessarily a flailing of the limbs in agony, screams silent or shrill echoing in its vicinity and its wake that is followed by howling laments of tormented souls plunged into the abyss of perpetual grief. No, death can be peaceful, dignified, ennobling and a true passing on to someplace better. May the Almighty bless Jeff's soul and spirit and may we be blessed with such an end when our time comes is all I can say.
Reproduced is the post made by Jeff's daughter informing the forum about his demise. Note the highlighted words (highlights mine) that show an amazing concern about informing his brother riders of his passing. I envy the forum members for the respect and almost familial empathy for the brotherhood that he had within so near his end.

Subject: [LDRider] Jeff Parker's Passing
Forwarded from the IBMWR List:
My name is Cynthia Vaughn, daughter of Jeff Parker. My father specifically
asked for someone in our family to post a message on this forum upon his
passing. This morning, Tuesday Dec 2, at approximately 9:15 AM, my father
went to be with the lord.
My father took great pride in his motorcycle, and as many of you know,
towards the end of his life, made it a goal of his to go on a ride that he
always wanted to do, touching all four corners of the united states. About
one week ago, he successfully completed that goal, and then focused on his
health, and being comfortable in his final days on earth.
Thank you everyone for the support and care that you showed my father
during his brief illness.
Warm Regards,
Cynthia Vaughn
