Fellow biker Chethan Shivakumar from Bangalore no more.. :(
Re: Fellow biker Chethan Shivakumar from Bangalore no more..
A very very sad news....We spoke numerous times on Whatsapp regarding mods...He was very happy when he got his D390...He was a part of our 6 member group on whatsapp....Feel like someone from family is lost..Feel even more depressed thinking about his kid and family....
Guys please ride safe..yeah this sounds strange especially when coming from a guy who rides like theres no tomorro...This is a rude shock, promise to never ride like that..
May God give his family strength to overcome this situation...
Re: Fellow biker Chethan Shivakumar from Bangalore no more..
Sad to hear that, may God provide comfort to his soul and his family...
Now coming to reality, as I've read the news, it indicates towards the bad narrow curvy road that makes impossible for riders to notice vehicles coming from opposite side. People had complained many times, but as usual no action.
I would like to advise ALL BIKERS IN LOCALITY, please make a group, discuss and protest against authority in biker rally or event on road if authorities still aren't doing anything .
Remember a biker lost his life due to negligence and poor governance. Least we can do is prevent more people from losing their lifes.
So fellow xbhpains of that area/state, gather on that road to honour our fellow xbhpian and make sure respective authority takes proper action, if they don't make them by protest, by raising your voice.
Re: Fellow biker Chethan Shivakumar from Bangalore no more..
Remember this is India, and things dont change...Hence, it is our responsibility to ride safe, and stay focused while we ride...Coming to narrow, curvy roads with blind corners or uneven slope, remember it is not always possible to construct 4 lane flat roads. On roads like these, its always best you ride safe and keep away from the wrong side....
Also, bikes like 200NS, D200, CBR250, D390 can prove to be lethal if you are not attentive. Sadly in this case I lost someone whom I knew...
I believe theres nothing authorities can do on such roads other than put warning signs.

Is this the bike which You guys are talking about? Heard that he was doing 140 at the time of collision.
A brake in time could have saved a life. May his soul rest in peace, may his family and friends get strength to bear this loss.

RIP, Chethan, may your soul rest in peace and your family somehow face the difficult odds and find solace.
This terrible, tragic incident highlights what many of us are guilty of at one time or another. Know your limits and ride within those limits. Wait for safe stretches to wring that throttle and always look and plan ahead so you can stop or at least slow down in time.

Please see the pic in the news report before making conjectures. Looking at the condition of the bike, it doesn't look like he was going that fast.
