    Rules and regulations for Highway joint

    Hey guys,

    Me and a friend of mine are toying with the idea of opening a highway joint. This is still in preliminary stage and I would like to get some answers:

    1. On a National Higway, to take lease on land, which authority has to be approached and how?

    2. For opening a highway joint apart from land lease, which other authorities have to be approached for license etc. and how?

    3. Which of the above authorities are central and which state?

    I am not able to find answers on the net and don't know who I can approach for consultation. Do direct me in the right direction if you can.

      This is very tied to the land you are looking to open the joint at.
      Most last will come under some city municipality or local panchayat.
      You'll need to check there. Also check with NHAI.

        Since you are new in this field, you can take help from someone who has been there and done that. Cuz opening any new establishment brings with it a lot of technicalities. If you don't know anyone personally, hire a reputed real estate firm that will help with the A-to-Z of setting up your shop. Be very professional in your approach and do a lot of research before going for any agent, as they can be very tricky.
