Hi all, This is my first day in XBHP. I would like to share an article which was written by me long back. Mods please remove / relocate this if it is inappropriate .Thanks
Are you a Master Rider or a Smart Rider?
    1. Remove the rear view mirrors , ( or keep it in an angle that it shows my handsome face)
    2. Get a helmet ( Else Cops will fine) and a helmet lock.
    3. Paste / engrave some dangerous looking quote to rear mudguard.

    IS HE???

    ARE YOU????

      Let’s go for a ride…

Oh, Police is not around, what a waste that I bought a costly 200rs Helmet from roadside (PS: you know the screen guard which I put in my smartphone costs 900rs).

Now I ride, the way wind falls on my face … FEEL LIKE GOD…

      hi brother,

Awesome description of a typical bike rider in our country. Even I wonder, why this new generation has become so obsessed with selfies and over-expensive smartphones, and don't give a damn about proper riding gear and at least a decent helmet. In fact, a nice good quality helmet and a proper riding gear and proper road manners truly enhances the aura and overall personality of a biker. Just yesterday, saw a guy with his girlfriend on a hayabusa without any riding gear and GUESS WHAT ???----Even without a helmet-- both of them.

Wind in their faces-- they surely must be FEELING LIKE GOD.....
Without any riding gear and a HELMET-- One wrong twist on that right wrist, they both would have been RIDING WITH GOD.....

      Cheers......

Thanks Monk for approving this rant.

I truly don't care if anyone is riding without gear or helmet, because them not wearing gear is not going to hurt me.

But I get really irritated when one in front of me is riding with his ear glued in phone and has no rear view mirrors. There is no way to communicate to these morons that
" Bhai I want to overtake you as you are riding in a snail pace in the traffic" They will not hear any honking or see any pass light blinking.

If only they understood the simple principle of giving respect to fellow humans...

And this problem is not restricted to new generation only, I have seen this done by underage riders as well as senior citizens.

          hi brother,

Not wearing helmet and riding gear ---and ears glued to the phone and no RVMs-- they all come under 1 category--- no riding or traffic sense and no respect to other human lives including their own. And because they are fools (like the one I saw riding a hayabusa without even a helmet), they will cause you an accident sooner or later. Most of the times, I have found bikers riding with proper RVMs, riding gear, helmet riding- safely. I truly believe, that as a biker community, it is our responsibility to tell them at least the importance of riding gears and helmet. I know, they will argue and not easily convinced, but at least we must try.

Worst when you see these guys ,riding big bikes without even a damn helmet, makes my blood boil. Overtime I've realized the importance of gears, helmet, jacket ,gloves, boots, knee pads, you are good to go, I'm still waiting on boots n knee pads for the longer rides and tours plus touring luggage which sets me back 6k more.
