Re: Ride in Australia Contest #powerTrip360

The question to be answered is tell us about a trip/ride that got me out of my comfort zone and made me a power rider.
To that I answer, I don't believe it is one ride that defines you. A motorcyclist aka rider gets his 'definition' augmented every time he swings his legs over the saddle, every ride adds a piece to the puzzle.

Motorcycling to me is a spiritual activity, not an adrenaline rush, nor a commute. It is my happy place, I just like to take the bike out on the highway, and when taking a gentle curve, look into the rear view mirror, and see my worries and frustrations left behind in the curve I just passed

One of the rides that does stand out for me in terms of experience is the ride I did from Bangalore - Ranchi (Jharkhand) - Bangalore starting with east coast(Tirupati - Vizag - Gopalpur - Puri - Ranchi) and returning via central(Chattisgarh - Nagupur - Hyderabad - Bangalore). The ride was unique, and in some senses better than my Leh ride in that I could see so many flavors of India. We happened to visit Orrisa just after the cyclone and saw the devastation and human spirit first hand, in Chattisgarh, rambling across MCC infested roads at 9 in the night hoping to find a shelter and cruising down NH7 back to bangalore. The trip spanned around 6k kms and it was truly epic

Here are a couple of blogs I wrote which should answer the question of my power trips
      1. The road never ends...: The quintessential question – why do I ride? (Why do I ride)
      2. The road never ends...: Mahabs, My Love. Gokarna, My Mistress. (An anthology of rides which I believe to be very important to me as experiences)
