  • How COVID a Pendemic impacted my passion for Riding !!

Today I would like to share my feeling regarding a sudden and unexpected halt that came into our life and the way it impacted my life in terms of Riding/Travelling.

Once I came through a quote from Sir Richard Burton “The greatest moment in one's life is when he sets out for an unknown land”. Basically this is how you get a chance to introspect who you are, your ways of dealing with situations also about the diversity of nature, etc. which will ultimately result in increasing your self-esteem and boosting your self confidence. Basically this was what pushes me to travel and travel more.

Unfortunately, one day I came to now about the disease called COVID-19. Tour and Travel industry and related activities were the first and most impacted vertical of all. Now, no travel was happening as a resultant. Now, what we are left on the name of travel is just the memories and experiences for now.

Here's How I'm dealing with this:

    - Recall past experiences through photographs. Whenever I feel low due to current situation, the first thing that comes to my mind is to flashback the memories and go through the mesmerizing memories that I have captured. Believe me this really makes me happy most of the times.

-Study about new destinations/places. It's always a good idea to increase your knowledge base and we mostly struggle finding time to do so. But fortunately/unfortunately we got that time. So why not utilize this time effectively and explore new places. I enjoy doing this as it matches the area of interest i.e traveling.

-Connect virtually with friend who share common memories. One other option to over come the pain of being caged is to share that pain as you know most of others are also going through the same pain. For that I usually call up my fellow riders and discuss about the experiences, learning, improvements, etc.

-Make travel plans for new normal time. This is the best time pass. I keep on making itineraries for the time when we'll be able to travel freely though barriers could be there such as permits, movement across state borders, etc. But no body can stop you at least for planning it.

I would now like to conclude by saying, no situation lasts forever. The day will come when you will again be free to do what ever you want and go to places without any restriction of time, etc. All I want to say is to prepare yourself for the that day. Utilize your time effectively.

I would like to know your ways of dealing this situation and ways of fighting such disease.
