Hey farzan I am with you bro _ I myself have seen a plenty of these new mods coming into delhi as well. I saw a 2 bikes which were basically moded like Hayabusa and front 110 and rear 130 tyres with 17" rims. Yuck it looks like these people have no knowledge about what they want and how much harm they are doing to their bikes.
Lets forget about em - its complete useless to talk about those guys who spend that much of money just wasting their well designed and tested product....
But its only on the part of beholder or the owner whether to make it or destroy it.
      I agree with u [^]

thats right farzan,,even in bangalore the mod work is carried out by some fools who no nothing about it and they do not allow us to sneak into.the parts they use is of the lowest order.

                            a suggestion

if you guys are so obsessed with mods, why not mod your brains first?

appreciating some tatty work and more so over spending bags full of money on cheap quality mods makes me baulk.

110-140 rear - what the fck is that?

firstly you got to chuck your stock swingarms- totally bad move.
then you get some mech to WELD CUSTOM MADE ones- yuck.

get a life guys - or atleast give your bikes some.

                            stop meddling.

                            regards
                            Farzan

                              Hey,

Agree with ur views but only partially Farzan, I own a Bullet & was not happy with the handle & seat of the stock bike, I changed the Handle already & am about to change the seat also.
what do u think of these mods? they wont mess up the bike, will they? i think & know they wont
This is why i think ur right but only partially.

                                Hello Farzan, hello all
This thread is quite old and I dont know if its sensible to post now, but anyways,
I dont agree that ALL mods are not worth the price and and one CANNOT always say Stock Bike is THE BEST. True in most cases, but certainly not all.

I have changed the 13T front sprocket on my F2 to a 14T and the bike is even smoother now. The engine has oodles and oodles of low end torque to make up for the taller gearing. I like the smoothness I have got and the 60-100 response seems better now in 3rd gear.

If someone is crazy abt initial only then let him put a smaller sporocket or smaller dia wheel - that after all will only help in handling wont it?

Its a matter of what ones wants. No bike or device is perfect. When you buy one and then feel you can customize it to your liking, why not?
here am speaking of performance / handling oriented mods. Not cosmetic ones. I dont find sense it that either.
But as many have opined, some ppl want only good looks. How else would you explain the sales of tha HH Passion that has the same decades old CD100 engine that makes 0.5 bhp only extra?
I met a guy who said he get 65kmpl from this 150dtsi and said my F2 gives lesser per litre. I felt like wringing his neck - its a lot to do with riding style. Upon talking more to him I found that he rides at 50kmph max. THEN WHY THE HELL BUY A PUL?
                                His answers was : STYLE...!!!
Whats the point in riding a pul if you dont rev it hard atleast once in a ride or a day??

What can you do with ppl like that? Just leave them and respect their want of looks only w/o a damn to performance! They are in majority and they drive the market. Why else does HH Passion even exist? (only an example - plenty more such cases)
