Yes the stock bikes have patches for like pollution norms, sound norms, speeds according to road conditions etc etc. The stock bikes(any thing on wheels) can be modified as per the requirement.
I had seen (even driven) the bullet 500 std. that can do 150+ and the guy is reving it hard since 1996.
I'll be going for some mods in my bull both in looks(weight reduction) and performance(torque)
I had seen a pul look like torpedo...Yuck for many but dream for someone.
I had seen 100cc bikes with harley like brs, passion for some joke for us.
    and the list goes on............

so i dont agree with many on this topic.

Its your bike, you gonna drive it. Its your life, Live it your way.
    let the others spit $#!t....
Modify your bike as per your requirements and enjoy every bit of it.........

NO offence to anyone, and if someone feels it, I am not sorry.

Its easy to comment on others works, but its hard to do some work so that others can pass a comment on you.

    Cheers..........

            hi octanian,
sorry to know abt your CBZ...but is that reason enough to conclude all mods are bad for the bike?
There are quite a few ppl who mod bike bike for the sheer pleasure of it (and they KNOW their stuff)...lets not discredit them.

While I agree with Farzan 90%, I would not go to heights like saying ALL mods are dumb and w/o scientific reason...

Can this be made stickey please? mods!!!

if you guys are so obsessed with mods, why not mod your brains first?

appreciating some tatty work and more so over spending bags full of money on cheap quality mods makes me baulk.

110-140 rear - what the fck is that?

firstly you got to chuck your stock swingarms- totally bad move.
then you get some mech to WELD CUSTOM MADE ones- yuck.

get a life guys - or atleast give your bikes some.

              stop meddling.

              regards

Hey dude, You need to calm down. I know the frustration when you see ppl appreciating fancy crap(fairings, exhaust dabba, alloy wheels). I for one have the same attitude towards ppl who try to push this wannabe stuff around. Check out the threads about the R1 cbz and p180 to r6 thread, Never forget to post an 'ownage' remark.
IMO fellow xbhpians should understand how other rival forums might mock us for going totally ga ga over these stupid slowcoach mopeds looking like full blown superbikes. Just my 2 cents.

ok....now this is the 2nd post i have read frm TOP to BOTTOM, uninterrupted.....jesus fellas, im at work....v need to stop posting such stuff...its only stoppin me frm gettin back to work !!!!!

@farzan : mods suck dude....especially the ones which convert a 150 into a 1000!!!! the only answer i have for those ppl is on the tarmac.....god i luv screwin up these kinda bikes when i meet em on the road....kinda feels better than sex !!!!

exhaust cans?? free flow?? all they make is noise......no power boost....plus it screws up the engine. cud bend ur valve stems....plus adds to noise pollution.....now i dunno abt ur bikes, but atleast value ur, and everybody else's ear drums !!!!

monoshox : might look cool on ur pulsar or cbz or rx, but is ur chassis made for it...NO !!! eventually it will give way. additional welding just weakens the frame coz of heat involved....it just changes the stress characteristics of the metal.....for the worse ofcourse....ur bike was designed for twin springs at the rear....keep it that way.

leg guards : please , please , please , and ppppuuuhhhhhllllleeeeaaaaaaaassssseeee, dont remove em....if u crash, that may be the only thing between u and an amputated leg !!! god forbid...

fatter tyres : absolutely fine if theres no mod required to ur swing arm, and if they fit on ur stock rim....puttin 15/14 inch rims at the rear is a strict NO NO.....affects the load on ur crankshaft, might even lead to crankshaft failure....

the only mod i agree of, if it cud even b called a mod.....wud be a nice paint job...nuthin like that, to b individualistic.....
so..ppl/........treat ur ride gud....and dudes....always wear a helmet .....believe me, chicks dig a good helmet !!!!!!!!!!
