Tell your dad to buy you a car. When you get the car, go sell it and buy a bike.

one last try before locking this thread: collect the following safety gear from your friends:
1. Helmet
2. Gloves
3. Knee pads
4. Elbow pads
5. Riding shoes
6. Riding jacket

Take the safety gear home and show them to your parents and tell them that u'll be wearing all this gear if you ride a bike (if they buy you one

) without fail. this's gonna work because they seem too concerned about your safety. and keep the promise and wear the safety gear if this plan works out.

try gathering pics and details of car accidents around,maybe that will make them understand that cars and bikes,both are dangerous. but there is an elemnt of risk in this method...they might end up banning you frm DRIVING and RIDING!

btw you have an ACTIVA right?ask them whats is the diff(and which is safer) bet. riding at 60km/h on a scooter and bike!

It appears that , your parents have some psychological feeling of a bike accident that might have happened to any your close relatives/friends.

Am I right? If that is the case, you cannot win your desire. Go for the car instead.

accept the offer....buy a car and ask for 500 bucks daily for petrol expenses. U cant drive a car inside city without making small scratches in them every now n then. reach home late daily saying you were stuck up in the traffic coz of this big car....after some days they ll get fed up of your fuel n maintenance expenses n buy you a bike!!

Get a job in a different city and buy a bike from your own money. Else take the car offer (and switch to the other bhp
