Hey didnt knoe that the foam padding could be removed too also how r u gonna stick the padding back(i'm guessing with feviquick), plz lemme knoe need to clean mine too.

dont use feviquick or similar stuff... it kinda melts the foam and doent help in sticking either..

instead use fevicol...!

Dude, sometime back i read in some mag that it is not advisable to mess around wid d helmet. Forget some adhesive they said that it is not even advisable to paint it or put stickers oon it as the liquid in it can cause some serious damage to the shell of d helmet.

Yeah actually, u shudnt mess around with ur helmet (esp when u like it so much NIk!!) as the placing of the padding (thermacol & foam etc etc) wont be as it shud be to offer optimum protection...hope u get it right though! (rem the advice abt feviquik though)
TO clean the foam in ur helmets that cannot be removed, mix some good detergent (surf excel hain na!! )in water, invert ur helmet, pour the water into the helmet & let the foam soak in it for some 30 mins or so...drain out water, scrub lightly (the foam) & then clean with running water till u feel that the detergent is gone...then dry the helmet (inverted ofcourse!) in the sun or after substantial water has gone, use a hair dryer...its will be as good as new, or atleast nearabouts..no fevicol or fevi quik needed.
@ RDX, abt putting paint or stickers on the helmet many of us wud prove those mags wrong. Nik has had his helmet spray painted. Someone had put tons of stickers on his helmet. I have painted my helmet myself.In fact most of us have done it to preserve our favourite helmets!!! With proper precautions, nothing's gonna happen to the shell & hey, unless the outer shell is made of cardboard or really bad quiality pvc/plastic.fibre, it shudnt affected at all.

BTW NIk, what is the NGK plug doing there? ...& do let us know if u got it all back together...

he wrote all the points in simple language...!

buttttt... he forgot to tell abt polishing the helmet...!
so do add that in his instructions & u'll have a new-er helmet in no time!

yeah guys i'd put it back before posting this topic.

you don't need to stick anything, though some parts were slightly glued together with rubber solution, so thats what should be used.
