It had been around 7 months since i had been riding a Pulsar 180 without any major accidents.Immature as I was,i believed nothing could bring me down. And then something i felt was my best friend did, alcohol.Half a bottle of rum and 2 beer bottles down,i recieved a call from one of my old friends. He was drinking about 15kms away from my house too.One thing led to another, and an over-emotional-when-drunk-me got onto my bike with another guy.
Thankfully even in the inebriated state,i remembered my best friend always nagging me to wear a helmet. And so just as something God makes you do once in a while,i wore my open face helmet and forced my friend to wear my full face. And off we went.
From here on,I remember 3 things -
1.Friend trying to wake me up.
2.My bike leaning.
3.Seeing my helmet visor scraping the road.
Next morning when i woke up,I just got off my bed like nothing had happened. And reality stuck.Apparently,I was riding last night, completely drunk, slept while riding cause the road was straight and didnt need too much attention, fell, was taken to a clinic, cleaned up,brought home by friends.
Thankfully we both had helmets on.Even the police were surprised how 2 guys piss drunk could have enough brains to wear a helmet.
A cop took us to the station in the patrol van.Had to spend 4 hrs in the police station listening to lectures that made sense but was let off easily after paying 800 bucks.
Pillion just got a couple of stiches on his palm but i had them all over me.
Here are the pictures that my friend took the same night

there's more.

Lesson learnt-Mixing alcohol and riding is the worst thing you can do to yourself and your family and friends.
On the brighter side of life,i got 2 weeks off from college.
I wasnt on Xbhp back then and now that i am i make sure something like this never happens.Hoping that atleast one member will learn from another's follies.
Now I take extra precautions each time i sit to drink

And this was not the first time I had been on a bike after having some drinks. This was just one time my luck ran out.But what could be better than not losing a limb/dying and still learning a valuable lesson !
