  • Anyone in/ has been to Bahrain??

Has anyone been to Bahrain or is presently there? I am moving there at the end of this month and would like to know more about the motorcycling scene there, along with other things.

Let me have your number on PM and I will contact you.

Iv been there several times as a kid so cant comment on tht but in a few days i can try getting some info frm my friends.
anyway as far as their neighbors,KSA and UAE are concerned...in the capital of KSA motorcycling isnt common due to the harsh climate but you can find loads of posers in the posh streets but in Jeddah/Dammam mcycing is more prominent
Dubai, well must say motorcycling has its place.

        Try the dubaipetrolheads.com forum.

I believe it has a sperate section for Bahrain.Although not much topics might exist,i guess its one of the best out there.Else hunt down other Bahrain based online forums.

Bahrain is smaller than New Delhi. There are bikers over there who ride out at night on the weekends (Thursday night, friday and saturday). The main highway there is King Fahad Causeway which is the one that bikers generally zoom on. There are not many prospects for ride destinations (main reason being the small area). But, the roads are awesome over there. So, you will enjoy riding bikes as a part of daily life. And yes you can zoom on the causeway whenever you want.

You probably will need a visa to KSA (Kingdom of saudia arabia). But the fact is that the Saudi's come to Bahrain to enjoy their weekends since Bahrain is a very open country as compared to KSA.

            Ummm...thanks for the replies guys.

I am already in Bahrain now and seeing some mild action on the motorcycling front. On my way from the airport, saw a Night-Rod and a soft tail at a traffic stop! And witnessed the thunderous noise of the Night Rod starting and zooming off from 4 feet away the very next day. Other than that, 2 GSX750 were noted parked at different places.

Cars are aplenty and top notch too, but who cares . Will update you one the scene in a few days.
