There are around 49 girls and same no. of boys. Girls and Boys both live in a different house. Though the places are nearby just 10-12 houses away. The third place is Vijay Ashram. Again 10-15 blocks away. Its basically a place for dying destitute. There are around 34-36 people who stay here.
Most of them above the age of 50. Its made for people in the station who are injured badly or homeless. Social workers or Policemen get them here. They are admitted here or else Sion hospital. Kids are given shelter, food and clothes (if the kid whos new and doesn't have any cloth to wear donated clothes are given to him/her). Tue/Sat/Sun are the days they get non-veg food. Rest is veg.
In the evening time they get breakfast from the Godrej co. nearby. The kids are very jolly and get mixed with anyone. They sleep by 1.30pm on sundays and get up by 4.00pm. Guys you can mix up very easily with them. Talk to him or her. Make him/her your friend. Trust me these kids are vey loving and adorable. And yeah one complete word they are MAD.
About donations: Its completely upto you. You can just come there and meet the kids. You can give them whatever you wish...Toys, Chocolates, Story books, Writing Books, Pen/Pencil/Rubber/Colors, Clothes..these were just examples what you can donate.
If any cash/cheque donation is done, you will be getting the receipt.
Friends which i made out there

She is komal. One of the two close friends that I made there.
she was the only one in the balniwas who would not easily mingle with any stranger. Most of the time I would find her peeping out of the grill looking into the lanes though... there were around 30-40 kids plus plenty of chocolates in waiting for her... I asked her what she is looking at and she said she is looking at her mom. I just had to change the topic..had no words Guys..

The girl in left, her name is JENNIFER, just want to tell her, tough times do not last , tough people do!!!! kudos to all kids at mission home
What my friend Salman has to say about a memorable moment -
" there was a guy called babu..i had a long discussion with him regarding what he wants to become when he grows up...he said he will be a mechanic ... I told him to be a doctor...he said naaa...kahi galti ho gayi to... :P ... then I asked him to be something else..so that he earns lot of respect...he had no thoughts...i told him soldier..to which he interpreted fauji...i said yes..now he said nahii....mujhe goli lag gayi to :P
when i digged deeper then i understood that he won't be able to become anything other than a mechanic as his sisters won't let him...u know it took over 10 minutes for him to say that 'wada mai faji banunga' .. he was saying again n again that he cannot commit if he can't do it...at the end he promised that he will be a fauji...
i will be going their a lot more times...can't let this dream die down
"Some other kids.....
