oye..! had you installed gstreamer plugins?
    refer Ubuntu:Hardy - .
there are many players .I use exaile(amarok) ,rhythmbox .also for winamp2.x clone ,use beep media player or audacious.

    for torrent use deluge client.

no.not a simple matter of double click.you have to resolve lot of dependencies.

I think ,since you lack a fast internet connection -either use apt4cd .
else ,get and install ubuntu ultimate edition which comes will all plugins etc etc.

for mobile phone net connection reach ubuntuforums.org

@tazz - In vista, the media center is used to view all our multimedia files in one place, be it pics, videos, tv, etc. I mean something like a home theater software.
@prakash - i found this while browsing the web. looks like a nice alternative to vista's mediacenter. Elisa - Home

it's good if u buy from XFX, zotac etc, coz Palit has lower clock speed. If u have a budget of 9.5K the strechit a bit and buy ATI 4850 . It's much better.

hmm..even i was thinkin about the XFX one! however, the xfx cards are quite costly. Any idea about the price?
And about going for ATi. See, thats what i call addiction. I am addicted to Nvidia just in the same manner i am addicted to Pulsars!

hehe...true! Nonetheless i am one of the Proud Owners of XFX8600GT!
IMO, its not that HOT than what ppl says it to be. Mine has never crosses 90 degrees mark! And that too under severe stress conditions. That was an yr ago. After that, i modded it to remain cool. Just an AS5 paste along with a overhead 80mm fan, and my card still remains within 80!!
Not to mention, i overclocked it hard, i.e. 715/920(1840MHz effective)!
All in all, a gr8 overclocking card, i say.
About the resolution, well...UDF7 models were discontinued later on.

if u r a nVidia fan boy then u should wait, coz ATI is coming with 48xx, 45xx, 43xx series and then nVidia prices are bound to come down.
