Agree. Before the days of multi-core processing, AMD was doing quite well, eating away steadily at Intel's market share. But after Intel launched C2D , AMD has always been one step behind. Also, now Intel has started to price their range much more aggressively, leaving very little to choose between the two. I seriously hope AMD come up with something revolutionary very soon.Originally posted by Aparajith View Post

thanks All... dont wanna multiquote all !
@Pranay: yes, i too feel MSI is better...
so heres the config (again):
Monitor - BenQ T2200HD ~ 9.5k
Cabinet - Cool Master Elite 330 ~ 1.6k
Processor - Intel Q6600 ~ 10k
Motherboard - MSI P45 Neo-F ~ ?????
RAM - Transcend 2x2GB DDR2 800 ~2k
HDD - Seagate SATAII 7200.12 500gb ~ 3.2k
PSU - Corsair VX450 - ~4k
GPU - Palit HD4850 ~ 8.1k
UPS - APC ~ 2.5k
Already have:
Sony DVD combo drive - IDE
Keyboard and Mouse
@nightwing & all: the above config, without monitor, would cost me ~30k. could you suggest me a config with AMD that would have the same performance and also, maybe, costing ~25k; but upgradable? else 30k.
with the comments said, i would be stupid to call off on AMD.
thanks again guys...

@shadez: nice config, but i think u need to go for some other PSU. No doubt ,the one u have selected is the best...i too use it.. but as far as i can recollect it does not have a 6 pin PCI-E power connector required to power the powerful card u have selected.
APC ups for 2.5k? wats the output wattage?

Hey Waseem, thats one excellent config but pls pls I pray that u chuck off that CoolerMaser SMPS and get a CORSAIR or ANTEC. The Extreme power series is the crappiest SMPS ever. Its got a bad efficiency, heats up like hell and has blown up a lot of systems. Check online or techenclave.com for more details.Democracy is when 2 wolves and a sheep meet to decide who is for dinner. Liberty is when the sheep has a gun.
