Two years back,I got my Crucial Ballistix RAM as a gift from my brother which he bought from the USA in his luggage. Shouldn't be a problem if someone can allow his luggage space to your PC parts.Originally posted by anvancy View Postquestion

But then everything is a bomb in the Priusland these days. So you may wanna play safe.

the matter comes when u try to bring mobo graphics card PSU etc..so at these times what are the chances??
the customs and security can think two ways..
either it has explosive material.
or diamonds in capacitors!!
so in this case is it safe bringing in baggage?there are no stupid questions.

When shopping for a SMPS make sure that it does not require pure sine wave UPS to operate. These ups r damn expensive

aaah, its been months since i peeked on forum! But always gr8 to see and share something new!
Ok, upgraded my machine too..!
1. MSI P45 Platinum Zilent : 9.5K
2. CM Elite 333 with transparent side panel: 1.8K (The Cabinet is silent as grave..
)
3. WD Passport 320GB: 3.3K
and 4. EVGA 9800GT Superclocked @(725/1025) for 9.5K! (EVGA products are darn costly! but what the heck..they are providing Lifetime warranty on the GPU and 10 yr limited guarantee!
)
Ok, did few tweaks with Q6600 and the results were sweet. I overclocked to 3.4Ghz( with FSB:380 and Multiplier:9) on P45 Platinum. Board was able to post successfully. And this all on Air cooling! Ok, shifted back to multiplier 8! (380x8) And here are some benchies results:
-Super-Pi 1M time: 15 Secs
-Intel burn Test Lin-Pack Max Stress: Successfully Passed @ 85 degrees max temp!
-3DMark06 Score: 13,700, GPU Temp: 49 @ idle and 69 @ full load.
-Crysis 1.2 - 1280x1024 @ 2x AA (Ver High) 30fps avg
-Vista Index Score: 5.7
Ok, few things i am looking forward for: A good CPU cooler and a TFT. Any suggestions?

yie ... sorry guys but am back with my PC config; again.
had been to Ankit at SP market and had a good discussion with him. got the quote for below config:
Monitor - Samsung 22" (this has 15000:1 ration compared to benQ T2000HD which has 10000:1, DVI support etc etc... but comes for rs10,800)
Cabinet - CoolerMaster Elite 334 (changed from 330)
Processor - Intel Q8200
Motherboard - Gigabyte GP45
RAM - Kingston 2x2GB DDR2
HDD - WD 640 (seagate .12 HDD's are not available and there is loads of problems with previous ones. so decided on WD. samsung didnt check)
PSU - Corsair VX650 (jumped from 450 to 650. advisable?)
GPU - Sapphire HD4850 (heard sapphire to be more reliable than palit)
UPS - Yet to decide (maybe APC for 2.5k. any suggestions? anything to look out for when buying one?)
total cost: ~50k
now... problems:
1. the P45 mobos have bad IGP or no IGP rather. so i definitely have to get the GPU.
2. GPU costs are fluctuating big time and they are gonna come down cheaper soon. so will go for GPU only after a month or so.
3. AMD offers better graphics when compared to Intel. Instead of Q8200+GP45 combo, if i opt for 'PII X4 920 + Biostar TA790 GX A2+' (16k), i would have much better speed and graphics speed.
so i guess AMD way to go.
now, if i flip to AMD, with 'PII X4 920 + Biostar TA790 GX A2+' mobo proccy combo, would the other parts blend in well?
suggestions / comments / criticism needed please !!!

@goldheart: price range/inch spec etc for TFT?
BenQ T2200HD is a good buy for 9.5k. its 22"
and then you got samsung 22" for 11k and 20" for 9.5k.
there is one from Dell which is also good i heard. but dont have details ...BIKER ...the thrill and sense of self-fulfilment is obtained from living a little dangerously!

whats wrong with theitwares.com? and needing a special ups for the smps ? never heard of such a thing unless your smps is of a higher load than the ups.
I bought my razer mouse from him and some friends have purchased stuff too..not had any problems
just your bad luck if you had a compatibility problem.
Anyone playing burnout paradise? it has paradise bikes too you know
