My dad got his new laptop a week back. He is now looking for a wireless internet access solution for office use. As network availability is limited around his office, Idea NetSetter is the only option I see.
1. How is this NetSetter..? Speed and performance..?
2. What are the tariff plans available..?
3. Is there any wireless internet service from BSNL..?MOTORCYCLING IS AS MUCH ART AS IT IS SCIENCE

Computer keyboards
HI guys....
i have a 2007 model intex keyboard which was working good until yesterday... suddenly some of keys [around 7 to 8 keys] stopped working and i had removed the screws, cleaned the dust inside and outside with soft cloth and fixed it back. But the problem still existing [2 keys working]...
Now i am typing using On-screen Keyboard [windows program].
so i am thinking of new keyboard instead of repairing this one. My friend has samsung model which was bought in 2004 which is rock solid and using heavily till now for work and also for games. we used to play madly on it
My budget around 500-1000RS [a figure not exceeding 800 will be good].
Ahhhhh... im tired... im thinking of getting one this day......
guys help..... Please suggest me some Keyboards. it took almost 25 mins to type this using mouse
and if there are no other threads, use this one for discussing about Computer Keyboards...

After using an Intex Keyboard for this long, I am sure one of these will feel truly like heavenly. Its as smooth as butter to a person moving from an Intex keyboard (personal experience
).

Microsoft Keyboards used to come with a 3-year warranty back in the day (and apparently it still does now). But what I do know is that I have 3 of these in my house right now and have had them for 5+ years now. None of them has ever shown any signs of trouble. Definitely turns out cheaper than Intex in the long run.Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

I suggest the Logitech K200. Its cheaper and quite good. I've been using it for quite some time and is absolutely splendid. Its very comfortable, quiet typing experience and its spillproof. The keys are much durable.Originally posted by Srinivas sr143sr View PostHI guys....

Thanks for the suggestion and approval
Yesterday i had gone to CTC (Biggest comp market in Hyd and AP). There i had asked to show me the keyboards. They showed me zebronic and other companies.
In showcase i watched Microsoft and I ball. May be they didnt showed me because of more cost than normal keyboards.
Upon your advise, i asked them to show me Microsoft. They also showed me I ball. One of my relatives have I ball and some of the keys gets stuck while typing. But their keyboard is new.
So i watched Microsoft and the keys are quiet smooth. As you said that its good and had with you for a long time, i have chosen Microsoft
They told me that warranty is for 2 years.
Costed me 700RS
MRP is 850
Contents: Keyboard PS/2 , USB Mouse (Got free PS/2 converter with it)
Here is the pic
Once again thanks

well what I meant when I said btw was "by the way". A rig is the word used to refer to a computer (Used normally by computer geeks/gamers).Originally posted by Srinivas sr143sr View PostThank you for your suggestion EZilkannan. I had bought Microsoft. Once again thanx for your suggestion.

If you buy an unlocked i5 (i5-2500K) then you would expect to overclock it (to at least 4 GHz on air cooling).
But the motherboard you have chosen is based on the H77 chipset. The H77 chipset does not support overclocking.
Either:
1) Buy a locked proccy like an i5-2500 (i.e. without the "K") and use the same board you have chosen, the locked proccy is cheaper
OR
2) Continue with the i5-2500K and change to a Z77 based motherboard. The Gigabyte Z77-UD3H is a great overclocking board, but will cost a bit more than the H77 based boards
You have forgotten the RAM. Get some 1600 MHz 2x2 GB at the very least.
Hard drive up to you.
The monitor (Dell ST2320L) is a Full HD monitor. The GTX 660 would not be able to run all games at maximum settings on that resolution. Just FYI, not a deal breaker.
Ger a cheaper cabinet than the HAF 922. Put the saved money in a good power supply. Get a Seasonic/Corsair unit and a very minimum rating of 500-600W.200 | 300 | 1200 BOXER

Re: The Personal Computer Thread
I searched for this thread for almost half an hour just to find its been dead for almost half a decade.
Oh well. Time to bump to top.
SO
My query is - anyone in Delhi NCR who has recent PC games on HDD? These new games are so large in size that I can't consider downloading them myself. Looking for FPS games preferably. I have some myself but they are relatively old games.
Anyone?200 | 300 | 1200 BOXER
