      Re: DIY request thread

Requesting the following DIY (Searched all websites but did not find it)

      1) Replacing number plate light (rear) of TVS Jupiter - looks very hard to access from outside.

      2) Understand the lighting switch of TVS Jupiter (Pilot lights, rear, number plate Headlight) and want to convert only the speedometer lights, rear number plate light, pilot lamps, and rear led light to battery.

Please advise me how to do it.

      Thanks

        Re: DIY request thread

Trying to find information about Apache 180 vs 200cc, Are the motors the same? Can I change the top half of the 180 to turn it into the 200cc?

upgrade the carb for more flow?

upgrade parts inside to better metals where I can

        1. change piston head for 11\1 compression? The 180 (177.4 cc) is 9.5:1 , 200 cc (197.75 cc) is said to be 9.7:1 in conjunction maybe plain the head to gain the compression, or the length of the connecting rod. The combination of what to do here for best compression and crank rotation or "stroke" is where I am lost.

        2. The 180 2 valve OHC would, if possible change to a 4 valve head not sure #of cams.

        3. Port and polish head intake and exhaust, Cam replacement for racing cam (if exists) and valves

        4. tunable free flow exhaust.

Just wondering if anyone out there fully tuned an Apache or changed up to a 200cc using 180 block.

I'm sorry if im in the wrong place , I dont forum much any advice would be great. I havent worked on little motors in 15 years so should be fun lol

Can be replaced easily if you have soldering skills.
Dismantle the headlamp assembly from the bike.
On the back you have two Philips head screw to remove the DRL assembly.
3528 LEDs SMD ones. You find these in LED strips. Also check AliExpress. Costs hardly 70rs for 50pcs or so.

Just desolder the burnt LEDs and solder new ones.
