This Is My First DIY Tutorial...
Its About How To Change The Color Of A Bike Using Stickers...

The Materials Required:
1. The Wrapping Material...
Basically Its A Glossy White Sticker Which Expands On Heating...
Its Spelled As LG Hausys HI-CAL...
(1 Sq.Ft Costs INR 11/- In My Area)
You Can Get It In Wholesale Sticker Shops Where They Print Stickers In Huge Scale...
2. Squeezers...
Comes In Handy While Sticking...
The One In Green & Blue Is Rubber Squeezers & The One In Red Is Plastic Squeezer...
You Can Get It In The Sticker Shop As Well...
(Plastic Squeezer INR 5/- Each ; Rubber Squeezer INR 10/- Each)
3. Heater...
To Stretch The Material In Curves
Well Its Obvious I Don't Have A Heater
I Stole My Sis's Hair Dryer :P
4. Some Other Basic Tools...
(Screwdrivers, Spanners, Allenkeys)
To Remove Some Basic Parts
5. The Most Important Of All...
"Patience"
Its A Long Tedious Work...
So You Need Patience
(It Took Me Nearly 3 Hours To Wrap The Tank)
Steps:
1. Get Yourself A Wide Clear Area Where There Is Less Wind & Breeze...
(In My Case I Used My Car Park :P)
2. Go Ahead And Remove Small Parts...
(In My Case I Removed The Whole Headlight Setup, The Scoops, Seats Etc)
3. Select The Smallest Part In The Motorcycle & Start Off With It...
(In My Case I Started With The Headlight Scoops...)
4. Go Ahead And Apply The Sticker After You Remove The Backing Paper...
Start Applying Pressure From The Center And Then Move Onto The Sides...
If You Find Any Wrinkles Or Bubbles Just Peel The Applied Sticker Till It Opens Up To The Bubble & Start Sticking From That Point Once Again...
Use The Heater And Gently Apply Pressure To Stretchen The Material In Curves...
[Note: When Using The Sticker, Remember You Can Stick It, Remove It And Again Stick It For Nearly 10-15 Times Without Loosing The Adhesive In The Back Side]
5. When You Come To The Edges Just Heat The Material & Push It Towards The Inside So That It Has A Good Finish
Now When You Feel Quite Confident In Yourself Go Ahead And Start Stickering The Bigger Parts...
My General Advice Is To Wrap The Tank In Two Pieces...
First Cover One Half Of The Tank...
And Then Move On to The Other Half...
Finally You'll Get Your Bike Done Well And Good...
Don't Worry For Mistakes...
If You Have Messed Up With The Sticker Just Slowly Peel It Of From One Edge And Try To Reapply It...
If Not Peel The Sticker Gently...
It Comes Of In Ease...
But You Need To Remove The Residue Left Behind...
Which I Not Tough...
I Got A Solution For INR 20/- Which When Applied Removes The Residue In One Wipe...
The Advantage Of Wrapping Is That You Can remove It When You Need Back The Stock Color...
This Comes In Handy While Selling The Bike...
Paintjob Ruins The Resale Values...
