  • CBR 250R Tyre huger For Ninja 250r :)

My 1st DIY attempt For CBR250R Tyre huger for Ninja 250R so here it goes

    1) Get a CBR 250r Huger from near by Honda spare parts shop ... it cost around 940+tax (CF type Normal one cost around 150rs)

    2) Remove Left side passenger footrest using Allen key from bike tool kit

3)Cut out the excess part shown in the pic using axoblade and put a hole using a small drill and smoothen off the edges using a sandpaper

4)Remove the stock Chain cover using a spanner from the tool kit

5)Place the Modified huger on to the bike

    6) Make a hole on the right side of the huger so that you can use it to secure the right side of the huger to swing-arm

    7) Buy 1" aluminium plates about 50cm form any hardware shop and bolt or screw to secure it to the swing-arm and put a hole accordingly using a drill

8)Secure all the bolts tightly and paint the aluminium plates mat-black

Here is the pic of the finished product

There is more than enough gap between Tyre and the huger from every side and the total cost of the huger is Rs-1040 /-

Total cost of the huger = Rs -1040 Including every thing

Hope you guys like my small DIY and find it helpful ... please tell me any good suggestion to improve my work ....

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Even Yamaha FZ's hugger fits perfectly on Ninja 250R with little modifications.

Nice.... ill have to try one myself

BTW cant you put back the stock chain cover by cutting more of the tyre Hugger? Its safer to have a metal chain cover to a plastic one...

can you please advice any other hugger's for unicorn, there's a little gap between the swing arm to the mudguard, so it splashes the water onto the shocks, so want to reduce it. . .

          Cheers!!!

Got to try this for my new P220.The pillion's leg gets dirty after a wet ride.Planning to get the FZ's hugger.Just Rs.110.Only 1 doubt.Won't the clamp develop scratches in the swing arm?
