  • Master Clutchless shifting on Yezdi Scrambler

Clutchless shifting is a practical skill to acquire and master, whether your goal is to accelerate more quickly or simply go home with a snapped clutch cable. As the rpm allows you to upshift and downshift without using the clutch, the Yezdi Scrambler is the ideal motorcycle to practice the technique on.

When mastered, clutchless shifting—which is just changing gears without engaging the clutch—can be done for both upshifts and downshifts and is a quicker method of shifting. Unfortunately, the development of rapid shifters and auto blipper, which also do away with the need to pull in a clutch when shifting, has resulted in clutchless shifting becoming somewhat of a lost art.

You can shift gears in the Yezdi scrambler without using the clutch. Simply close the throttle at the proper RPM range (3800–4000) and then shift up to start accelerating. By applying light pressure on the gear lever while accelerating, you may practice getting the timing just right. When you release the throttle, you'll be able to feel when the bike naturally revs back up, which is the ideal time to shift. You'll be able to switch off and shift at the ideal moment with a little practice. Although downshifting requires a little more finesse, the Yezdi Scrambler has an auto-blip clutch and a slipper clutch.

If done correctly, it won't cause your bike to become more worn out, and it will be rather clear if your technique is incorrect because your shifting won't be smooth. If you master this trick, the scrambler will become even more enjoyable for you. Start by working on your downshifts, which are excellent for emergency stops or at traffic lights.Yezdi Scrambler rider
