  • Yamaha Ray ZR RWM and tyre mod

Hello Everyone, I am back with some mod stories after many years. Of lately, I have been using Yamaha Ray ZR scooter for wading through the narrow roads to drop and pickup family members.

I was having trouble maneuvering in close traffic due to the small arpeture rear view mirrors supplied by the manufacturer.

I decided to DIY auto rikshaw mirrors which are plug and play. The groove sleeves and the nuts were very easy bolt on. The mirrors come with rubber washers, spring washers and two nuts each. Costed Rs 400 for a pair

And, my scooter came with alloys so 120/70R10 scraped in the engine bay. Got a steel rim of Yamaha scooters with the brake hub put 4 double spring vicers and the spacing was achieved. No noticeable difference in fuel consumption. Handling and road grip is excellent now. Costed Rs 1400 at a local tire shop.
